The entire production is defective! I returned the first and the second was the same. I contacted Grohe directly, and they sent a free replacement that also was the same (arriving too late to return the one I bought from Amazon). They since determined the entire inventory was defective and informed me that they expect a new shipment in some time in January 2021 and said to use the one I have until then. Contact Grohe customer service. Be forewarned that getting through to them was very difficult. If you get on-line chat offered, use it. email worked some times but took days for a reply. I never got through by phone giving up after almost 2 hours of the repeating jingle using up my phone battery. They are quite competent once you do get through. **Q: Will the spray setting remain on when the faucet is turned off and back on?** A: No, it won't. This was easy to install - unscrew the water line, then screw water line into new one. HOWEVER, this new one has a slightly wider hole for the water line, so it will leak. The solution? 1) Also order Grohe 01224000 Spring O-Ring (as of this review it's $6) or 2) Don't order this, but order Grohe 46298K00 Dual Spray Pull-Out n(The difference between this and the 46298 is this is just the handle; the 46298 is the handle, the O-Ring, and two flow restrictors.
