If you've never had Barbara's puffins, this may not be the ideal way to try them, since you'll get 6 boxes for something like 5 dollars a box. Barbara's isn't always easy to find, particularly since they stopped carrying these unflavored ones at the grocery shop I usually rely on.What you get is a relatively unsweetened cereal that everyone in my family seems to like. It's good for kids in that they like the taste, but it doesn't have many added sugars. Sometimes I'll have it, too, and it's really not bad. It tastes a bit oaty with a bit of bran 'flavor.' The cereal has a fair amount of air and is pretty light. If you really want oats and a bit more solidity/density, Barbara's makes another similar cereal called Oat Crunch that's a bit more like something that Quaker would sell.I buy in bulk mostly because of the supply issues I've encountered in my regular grocery stores.

I usually love this cereal and usually just get one box at a time from the store (when I can find it). So I was excited to see that Amazon had it in a pack of 4. I am disappointed though because upon opening it, it had a very stale taste. I hoped maybe it was just the one box so I opened another... same thing. I guess I will eat the 4 stale boxes because it costs too much to waste it. I give the product itself 5 stars (usually) but the decreased quality of these particular boxes merits more like a 2. I settled on a 4 as kind of an average.

This is my favorite cereal! The cinnamon is so delicious and it feels good in your system. :-)

Great stuff I love it

I like this cereal, it's similar to Quaker Corn Bran which is no longer available in the US, so Puffins is a good substitute, and healthier I believe. But I'm not paying $20 for one small box of cereal.
