This has a great picture. Doesn’t really explain in directions how to use all the settings. So not sure what it’s supposed to be on so played around with it and we’ll I think I got it on the best. Doesn’t stay charged very long.

Pros-portable and easy to use. Picture quality is pretty good. Better than I had thought. I like the fact you can take pictures and video. Video works better than the picture function. I use it almost daily for inspecting coins looking for quality and errors. This works excellent for coins.Cons-it took a super long time to get it. When you take a picture; sometimes it actually takes the picture intended but it also will give you a blank (blue screen) picture, which has happened more often than not as of now. The battery doesn't last as long as I wished it would. I will be getting better batteries. The adjusting knobs are all plastic. It feels like it's going to wear out or break if you keep adjusting it vertically. The set screws to hold it into position are setting into plastic as well. The gears to keep it held in the desired position are plastic also and feels kind of chintzy.I know it seems like a lot of negativity but this is just what I've noticed and it's actually a pretty good product. I would definitely recommend buying this product. Just be careful when adjusting and disassembling not to tighten things to much.

Works well

First of all this is not a microscope. It is a macro camera that allows focus of up close objects. There is no real magnification. I can take similar quality photos, with similar detail levels, with my CHEAPO CELL PHONE! I don't understand how this thing has no 1 star reviews....there is something fishy going on.For what I needed this thing for it is absolute trash. I work on lots of electronics so PCB boards are a constant. There is no way to really work on any PCB due to how close the camera has to be to the work. Hot air is a definite no go as the lens end of the camera is enclosed in a clear plastic cap that cannot be taken off. I don't have the room between the camera and my work to even fit a soldering iron into the equation.Then there's the matter of area of "magnification." I can fit maybe a few components worth of room. If coins is what you're looking at with this thing good luck. You can see dates and such but you cannot see the whole coin or even half of it.This thing is flimsy, not stable, and STUNK SO BAD!Maybe they were doing some disinfectant thing to it but ive had it a few days at this point and the room that its in smells like some cross between generic laundry detergent and chemical cleaner and is ever pervasive. That is the 1st time I've ever had a problem with the smell of an item.I've had a bad experience all around with this fake microscope. You see a microscope actually zooms in on things and is adjustable. You want zoom on this thing? Move the camera closer. Period.The second I'm done writing this review I'm going print out a return label.I really tried to love this thing.My first impression was one of disappointment so I left it be until the next day. I spent hours trying different things to make this at least attempt to function as a microscope.Nope. I bought a different type, for just a couple extra dollars, that is actually a microscope. It doesn't have an LCD screen but it'll work.I'm really sad this won't work for me and even more bummed out Amazon allows this CAMERA to be listed as a microscope with 1000x magnification. You're lucky, very lucky, if you even get 50x.

I absolutely LOVED this magnifying microscope that instantly and with such ease your able to see even the faintest scratches on your coins or any items for that matter that may interest you in a more thorough observation I would give this 6 stars if it were possible this things gonna be sticking around for A LOOOOONG time😉🙏my kids love this as well I got them coming home with all sorts of little "treasures" that they want to see under the scope lol go ahead and see for yourself this was indeed one of my best purchases of this year

tl;dr - Get a magnifying glass or buy a microscope with lens magnification. These listings of “1000000000 zoom!” are all false.For the price this was overall ok. I will be seeking a return though. The software is on a cd. Who has that anymore? The listing description of the silver dial says focus and zoom. Well it is only focus. What you see is what you get. Want more zoom? Move the camera closer. Seriously why waste everyone’s time with these false statements. I have an $11 pocket microscope that has the same magnification as I can see no more detail with this. I need at least 500x to see these cells. So this is nowhere near 1000x.I dug up an old laptop to get the software from the cd. Copied the files to a thumb drive then set everything up on Windows 10 because the .exe file isn’t Mac compatible. The camera installed on its own. Then... oh boy Then I open the included capture software. Every attempt to capture video or photo failed. Now I was able to capture shots from the built in Windows camera app. Setting the microscope to 3M pixel and snapping a photo gave me the ability to zoom in another 100x maybe.

Not quite ready to give a true evaluation of this item, just received it but did like the reviews given so I’m hoping it does what it’s claimed to do. Am somewhat disappointed in the dumb so called instructions provided. No visualized step by step instructions given, there are a few senior citizens that can use that extra help. After I figure this out I’ll give another review.
