This is a wonderful product. The fit was exactly as the size chart suggested. I almost second-guessed and bought the larger size, but the Husky fit was definitely a size 4 and it’s perfect. He can definitely open his mouth quite a bit, definitely enough to pant, he can get some water if he needs to (although it’s not very natural to drink while wearing it, so he doesn’t try to drink too much) and can get some kibble or treats while wearing it. It does not limit his movement as he can freely chase the cats still and get his nose into places where it most definitely doesn’t belong. However, there’s not a chance of him doing anything that he is not supposed to during his endeavors. His nose fits almost perfectly in the opening at the end, leaving it completely assessable to cat nails so as not to limit his instruction on why he should not chase the cats. Especially for the cats, the opening nicely outlines his nose so that a cat has a more defined area in which to aim. Whoever designed this must of had this in mind and either wanted to be able to teach their dog a lesson, or they were simply a very sadistic person who tended to side with the cats during these interactions. Alaska seems to like wearing his mask, as it gives him a false sense of security. I am assuming that he can’t see that his entire nose is exposed, although the rest of his mouth is guarded nicely. It is safe to say that he can no longer attempt to lick the cats. We have not had to boil it and fit it it fit perfectly out-of-the-box. I highly recommend this product. Also, I am very glad that I bought the tan. At first it seemed less malicious than the black, however after the fifth or six comment that it looked like a Hannibal Lecter mask, I thought that maybe it wasn’t less menacing after all. However, If you’re going to have to walk around with a cage and your face, you might as well look like an infamous serial killer.

I’ve been using this muzzle for my dog River for almost his entire life. Got this one because I wanted a one that blended in with his coloring, which is also a great feature of this brand. And they last forever. Our first one is about 7-8 years old and still in perfect condition, even after being rubbed on the ground 100’s of times by my dog. Even the soft goods (straps) don’t wear out. Dogs can pant, drink water and even eat kibble, all while wearing this muzzle. River is nervous and reactive but not aggressive. So we wear this on super public trails, at the vet and anywhere there might be an issue. If secured properly (not too tight or loose) it will both not come off and be comfortable for your dog. We went on a backpacking trip on an abnormally busy trail (to see an eclipse totality) and he had to wear it 24/7 since we were sharing a tent with someone new. The only issue was it rubbed some fur off his cheeks but otherwise he was able to stay hydrated, pant and eat with ease.

I didn’t have a measuring tape so I purchased three muzzles (2) size 3 and (1) size 4 to see which one would fit my 3 yr old Amstaff . I have to say the quality is really good and it doesn’t have a strong odor at all. I found size 3 fits my Amstaff perfectly but the only issue was with the bottom loop where you put the collar through to keep the muzzle secure. The loop is way too small I couldn’t fit the buckle through at all. Thought it was a sewing defect but the same thing when I tried with the other size 3 muzzle. The loop is just too small. They need to make that opening a tad bigger. The size 4 muzzle fits my Amstaff as well but it has a little more wiggle room by her jaw so she can probably get her face out of it if she tries hard enough. I am going to stick with size 3. The loop opening however on the size 4 muzzle is big enough for two collars. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Hope my review helps other parents👍

I measured my pup accordingly and ordered the recommended size (3) for my 60 pound lab. Fits her great! Took her only 10 min to get used to it. She was able to drink from the pool and take snacks without difficulty. Laela attacked my elder sheppard out of the blue. Hurt her pretty bad. This muzzle has been a game changer! Laela only wears it when exposed to our sheppard. I keep them separated completely when I am not home. Laela is less KrAzy with this muzzle on and her barking stops. She will sit and let me apply it easily (shocked me! Cuz she likes being naughty). It appears comfortable, and I found no pressure areas. Near perfect fit! Her collar fit easily through the muzzle loop which gives added stability. Well designed and the best I have found....and I tried a few! I've only used it for a few days...but it appears WELL MADE.

The basket is nice and works well, however the strap system leaves a lot to be desired. First and foremost, a typical 1" collar and buckle won't fit through the loop under the neck, which is designed to help hold the muzzle in place and not lose it if it comes off. Having a clip that has to go through one of the little straps on the webbing to keep the strap that goes between the dogs' eyes, is a pain to put on and take off. Finally, even when everything is snugged up, it's way too easy for the dog to pull off. A much better design, would be a strap that makes a complete loop around the dogs neck, as a collar would, and the the straps on the top, sides and under the neck simply loop around that and are would be easily adjustable with a simple tri-glide.

Really good muzzle and great value price. I bought for my XL Bully and if measured properly they fit perfectly. The added feature of being able to mould them to your dog is great for added comfort.

Comprata per il cane che ho adottato al canile per prevenire qualsiasi rischio mentre il cane si abitua ad una vita fuori dal canile. Bisogna fare cura a regolarla bene senza stringere troppo il muso. Dato i vari punti di regolazione ci vuole un pò di attenzione, ma una volta fatto quello ci vuole poco a farla indossare al cane. Lascia abbastanza spazio al cane per aprire un pò la bocca e facilitare il respiro senza compromettere la sicurezza dato che copre bene frontalmente e lateralmente. Il mio cane ovviamente per adesso non la ama, ma non riesce a toglierla, ed con un semplice comando smette di provarci. Dopo circa una settimana sembra aver accettato il fatto che la deve portare e ci prova raramente. La chiusura a scatto ha un piccolo switch di sicurezza per far si che non si apra. Per concludere, facile da metter una volta a misura, non limita troppo il cane in termini di respirazione garantendo piena sicurezza. Raccomandata.
