Amazon Basics 15-Watt Bluetooth Stereo Speaker with Water Resistant Design - Blue

I have the other AmazonBasics Portable Wireless, 2.1 Bluetooth Speaker (the other speaker) and this speaker. The other speaker does not have as good of sound as this speaker. This speaker is cheaper than the other speaker. This speaker is $20 right now. The other speaker is $25. This speaker is the better deal.The two things going for the other speaker are: it is smaller and lighter. So I use the other speaker for travel, because it is nice for that.Both speakers come in with a built in speaker. Initially, I thought that this was a feature I would never use. I was wrong. I use it for phone calls, and during video conferencing when I attach the speaker to a laptop. The microphone is way more useful than I thought.As for sound quality, I have heard speakers that were 2 or 3 times pricier than this model that did not sound as good. For this price point (at $20) it blows the competition away.

Good sound and a fair price.

Both indoor and outdoor. At the end, it was only holding a charge for about 3 hours. But, based on the amount of hours it lasted, it was one of the best peices of technology I ever purchased. Thanks, Amazon.

It sounds pretty good at first. Then within a month it’s charge wasn’t holding. Eventually could only play it for 2 hrs and now it only last minutes 3 years of medium use. I have cheaper products that have lasted way longer

I've dropped it in water a few times and still works. Paint has been scratching off but the sound quality is wonderful nonetheless. Pretty decent sub bass comes from it. Holding down the volume buttons are for volume whilst a quick press will work as "search" buttons (should have been reverse). Last 15 minutes of battery life are useless though because it will tell you its dying like every 180 seconds. Battery life is pretty good.

This thing is amazing!! So I figured out you have to press and hold the + button to increase volume on the speaker, and wow!! It's incredibly loud for a portable speaker. I love it.

I had a previous model and was very happy with the five years of use that I got out of it. This particular item doesn't stay charged like my previous Amazon speaker. I've tried multiple variants with uncharging and prepping before use with limited to no improvement.

A favor:- Suena muy bien, tan bien como cualquiera y mejor que muchos. Creo que en esto del sonido hay mucha tontería y no tienen que sonar más bajos de los que hay, ni más agudos, ni nada. Suena perfectamente y total para lo que vas a oír y el caso que le vas a hacer vale de sobra. - La batería de 2200 mAh dura lo suficiente para usarlo una jornada de 8 horas a volumen medio. Cada vez que lo enciendes se pone al mismo volumen no se si al 50, 60, o 70 por ciento, imposible saberlo, pero yo no lo toco, así es suficiente. - Puedes utilizarlo como manos libres y responder las llamadas telefónicas en el ,algo que algunos modelos mucho más caros, incomprensiblemente, no permiten.En contra: - Es muy delicado. La pintura del acabado metálico se raya muy fácilmente, y se ensucia igual de fácil. Seguro que hay acabados más resistentes. Seguro que hay altavoces más potentes, con mayor batería y más resistentes y bonitos, pero el altavoz AmazonBasics de 15 vatios comprado entre 25 y 30 euros es un chollo. Incomprensiblemente el modelo de 9 vatios suele estar a un precio similar.

Dall'aspetto giovanile e gradevole. Ottimi materiali. Suono cristallino e ben bilanciato. Consigliato!

In a nutshell, this AmazonBasics speaker is a pleasantly sounding, well constructed (solid) product that looks attractive (finish, materials). It's certainly good value for money.However, in some buyer reviews on Amazon, the claim was made that the sound quality of this speaker is comparable to that of a Bose Mini (SoundLink). That is not the case. I have both speakers and compared them for you. There are 2 main differences:(1) the bass of the AmazonBasics doesn't go as deep. I measured both and the Bose reproduces down to 60-65hz, the AmazonBasics down to 80hz. This is quite a big difference in the experience. One is actual bass reproduction and the other just a suggestion thereof.(2) some songs you play just aren't reference studio sound quality; they sound harsh, "off" and somehow someway deviate from great sound quality recordings/mixes. The Bose reproduces those songs quite well but here the Amazon speaker struggles and makes you unconsciously look for the skip button.Having said that, we're comparing very different price levels so my conclusion is that I am happy with the speaker for my intended purpose and the attractive price. If you really look for something that makes you enjoy the sound time and again, you probably want to spend the extra money for the Bose Mini.
