I loved this light, it is quite powerful and has 3 shades of light. Perfect to take on a trip and does not take up much space. It doesn't look like it's going to break easily either, so you can take it in your card or suitcase with confidence.

It is very portable and light. The light is very bright once turned on and warm if its bright. It has to be plugged in to stay on.

I was very happy with how quickly I got my order. I ordered the Veralux light on Saturday and it was delivered Sunday afternoon. The set-up was easy. The quality of the light is great, and the stand is very sturdy. There are several settings for brightness, and it’s easy to click through them using the buttons. You can select white, natural or warm light as five different dimming options. You can also set a timer for 10,20,30, or 60 minutes. Your preferred settings will be saved. One thing did confuse me. The light has a USB cable which connects to an AC/DC adapter which plugs into an electrical outlet, so it looks like you could plug the light in and charge it like a phone or iPad. The light also has a notch on the back to hang it on a wall or in a cubicle. So that further confirmed my suspicion that you could charge the light, and then use it without having it plugged in. This is not the case. The light does not work unless it is plugged into a standard 100-240V AC electrical outlet. I am not sure how that would work if you wanted to hang it on the wall or on a cubicle wall at work. I bought the light to see if using it in the morning might make me less tired in the afternoon during the dark winter months. The first day I used it for 10 minutes. I did not notice being less tired in the afternoon but that could be because I was babysitting my granddaughter that day and didn’t have time to notice if I was tired. I used it the next two days for 20 and 30 minutes respectively and did indeed notice that I was not yawning at 4:00 pm.

Works very well in the winter but you don't really need it in the summer when it's bright in the morning

The light itself functions well, but the power supply cable fits poorly in the light's power receptacle and doesn't make good connection. We have had to clamp the cable in place to use the lamp.

For the money, I don't see why anyone in an environment with lower light generally would *not* buy at least an item like this. Now as for this item particularly, I have to agree with other reviewers in that: -Its a great little device and actually does work. The first night after using it I slept so much better and was able to turn out my night lights I usually keep on because my body felt for the first time I guess like I had "gotten enough" light. For whatever reason, it worked. -The buttons for the settings are not placed in the best spot requiring a bit of squinting etc to change when you are using the device. -What you get for the price is quite astounding. It really is a "life hack." It's funny how many Ohio-specific reviews there are for this device, but also being from Ohio with lots of cloudy weather, this device is a no brainier and I'd recommend it to anyone. Also: -I like the stand it comes with -I like that this light goes up to 15k lux which is helpful for me because I believe I am quite natural light starved because of my life situation at the moment as well. -the charging cable is too short for my liking. I wish it was closer to 6 ft in length. Overall, I'd recommend this especially if you are primarily living indoors and especially in a place that gets a fair amount of cloudy/overcast days.

This item quit working properly about 2 months after I bought it so of course I can’t return it. It only works if you have the power cord propped up just so. Do not waste your money!!!
