The story of Mathew brought to life!
Word for word dramatic illustration of the NIV version of Mathew. An outstanding presentation that will surely be watched again and again. Bruce Marchiano delivers an incredible performance as Jesus of Nazareth.

This is the best video acted presentation of the Bible, and it's word for word NIV. Very well done, great for using with a Bible study class.

The whole DVD is a narrative of Matthew mixed with drama.
I really liked the whole thing. I loved the way that they used the NIV translation of the Bible and the drama part was well done. I loved the way they portrayed Jesus. He was very loving and could be hilarious at times.

Great perspective on the Life of Christ! Strongly recommended for the whole family!
Unfortunately many people who call themselves Christians misrepresent the true heart and passion of God's word and who Jesus is. I grew up in a wonderful Christian home but had a somewhat older fashioned view of the wife of Christ. I think a lot of pictures we see are of Jesus wearing a bright white flowing robe and a perfectly trimmed beard. This DVD really brought the Life of Christ alive in my heart and my perspectives were completely enhanced. When reading through the Bible now after watching this, my perspective in my heart have been significantly touched as I have a greater understanding of the love of Christ and really all He has done and who He is in our lives. I sincerely recommend this DVD for all ages. I especially encouraged people to get this for their children at a young age so they can start to really understand the love of Christ in a more personal way. I really love how they presented Jesus in this film. Bruce Marchiano does an amazing job. I encourage you to Summertime look up the behind-the-scenes on when they made this series to hear his heart and passion for what he did to help be in this film. I know whoever is reading this does not know me personally but I want to genuinely ensure you that when you watch this, I believe you are perspective on Jesus will only be enhanced in a very special way.

Excellent film
This is an excellent DVD. The acting is great, the script is the bible word for word, the scenery is authentic and it brings the story of Jesus to life in a really accessible way. The only downside, and it's being really picky, is the occasional dodgy accent! Every one of our friends who've seen this DVD have enjoyed it and been impressed by the accuracy of the portrayal of the life and ministry of Christ. Highly recommended!

so good, happy jesus who smiles, laughs and is more human than some films i have seengood acting, a wonderful historical accurate film based on the words of matthew... i watch it lotsbrings the bible to life, a good film to buy for new christian and seekers too as it is understandable

A Visual masterpiece
An amazing visual account brings the bible to life, and therefore the life of Jesus. Bruce Marschiano is such an excellent actor and portrays Jesus so brilliantly. Had seen parts of it when it was released in the 90's but wanted my own copy. Now I can watch whenever I like .

Visual Bible - Matthew
This is a word for word visualisation of the gospel of Matthew, acted brilliantly and, unusually, showing Jesus as a real person who laughs and gets passionate as well as being gentle and loving. It brings the story alive and is so good as part of a teaching programme.

Amazing you just have to watch this DVD!
Amazing! Word for word from the book of Mathew, portrayed the beautiful, loving heart of our Savior Jesus. You just have to watch it no matter how many times you have read Mathew in your Bible, it visually opens the truth in your heart in a new way.
