Best Home phone that gives great value for money
I needed a new home phone to connect my IP phone service. I knew Vtech is a market leader but still I did a lot of research reading technical specifications and user reviews. I selected this phone as I wanted two handsets with wireless headphone. I kept one in the living room and one in the bedroom. It has been a month since I setup the phone and the experience has been great so far. The setup was easy and I was able to make my first call in just less than 5 minutes. Based on my use I have listed the Pros(I honestly did not find any Cons So far, I am a happy customer :) ) 1) Easy to setup, instructions were easy to understand. 2) Great value for money - Handset quality and look appears to last long. 3) Call quality is fabulous and the speaker phone works even better. 4) Range of wireless handset and headphone is awesome. I can even talk in my handset/headphone from outside my home with doors closed. 5) Bluetooth connectivity to mobile is a innovative features which makes syncing mobile contact easy. You can even get your mobile calls and other notifications(ex. Facebook) in the handset. (Info : You can connect two mobiles using bluetooth) 6) Battery Charge of the Handsets as well as the headphone last forever. I talk 4-5 hours on phone everyday and never seen the battery deplete more than 30% which is an added plus. 7) Answering machine is easy to setup and works great 8) Push to talk(PTT) is a nice feature if in case you want to use your handsets as walkie-talkies(Two way radio) 9) The base is attractive and well designed. Headphone sticks to the base(looks like some magnet) and charges itself. Overall a great phone I can recommend to anyone looking for a home phone. Don't shy away just buy this, I bet you would love this. :) [UPDATE : 1] - In just 2 months, the earpiece broke. Will have to raise a warranty claim as it has 1 year warranty. Reduced the rating from 5 to 4 stars :-( [UPDATE : 2] - Raised a warranty claim on the broken earpiece through Vtech website and returned the product to them. Got a new one W/additional charging base & Charger in a week. Revising the rating back to 5 appreciating their excellent Warranty policy. Buy this without any doubt....

WORKS WITH SAMSUMG NOTE 5
This thing is a lifesaver for me. I live in the boonies. I have almost no Verizon reception where I live. Before I bought my new Samsung Note 5, the only way I could make or receive calls was to sit in my car in the driveway. Even with the new phone, there are only a few places in the house where I have 3G or (sometimes) 4G reception. I leave the phone and the base unit in that location and place the second phone where I will use it most. Works perfectly and I will be adding a couple more handsets which are reasonably priced. I'm also happy to report that after I removed my cell phone from its location by the base unit, went out for they day and then returned it to its location by the base unit, it automatically paired with the base without any effort on my part. That's a big plus in my book. .The call quality is excellent. The sound from the cordless handset is better than the sound from the Note 5. I don't use the Bluetooth headset...at all. I have never found a Bluetooth headset that fits and/or has really decent call quality. I've tried about 8 of them. A note on difficulty with pairing the phone if you are impatient with manuals. I was getting frustrated with the pairing process. Then I finally realized that you have to use the BASE UNIT, not the cordless phones, to pair your cell phone. Duh. It took 2 tries, probably because of my ineptitude.

Headset is WAY too big but everything else is great.
I work from home and own my own business. One of these businesses involves a LOT of talking on the phone. I ordered this VTech DS6671-3 DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Bluetooth Connect to Cell and Answering System, Silver/Black with 2 Handsets and 1 Cordless Headset because I wanted something that had decent battery life with a second handset for backup just in case I ran the battery out on the main handset. I also really wanted an ear bud, or headset to use so I could be hands free. The battery life is pretty darn good. In fact I yet had to use the backup handset which is great since I spend all day on the phone some days. The blue tooth is not something I need or use so I can't report on that. The ear bud is alright and comes with three different ear pieces so you can fit to your needs but I truly do NOT like things stuck in my ear and ear buds irritate my sensitive ears so I wanted to use the head band - which brings me to why I am taking off one star. This head band is made for a giant! It is HUGE and way too big for my head. You can adjust it but even on the smallest size it does not fit me, I am really let down about this. Otherwise all other bells and whistles work - caller ID, answering machine, volume buttons, etc. It is really easy to use and figure out the options as I am not too tech savvy really and I can do it. A decent product - except an over sized head band for giants.

Excellent cordless system!
This was a replacement for an earlier Vtech cordless system that lasted about 10 yrs. (with one complete battery refresh). Purchased: Base unit (answering machine & cordless headset) with 3 additional handsets. I did extensive research before purchasing this system even though I had good experiences with Vtech. I am extremely happy with this system: The system supports 3 lines (2 cell phones linked via Bluetooth and a land line). Once linked, the cell phones ring independently on all the phones (you can select a different ringer for each cell phone). This is ideal when your cell phone is at you bedside and charging because you can answer calls from any handset. Additionally, it lets you import all your contacts from each cell phone and stores them in a separate phone book - so you have a common phone book that you populate manually, and a phone book for each cell phone. You don't need a landline at all, so if you're dispensing with your landline like many people are, then this is a perfect home phone system that uses just your cell phone minutes. Range and clarity are excellent as would be expected of any DECT 6.0 system. The cordless headset can be activated once you've answered or initiated a call from any handset. Vtech does offer a cordless headset with a charging base if you need a 2nd one. It pairs the same way any handset does. It's important to note that the headset is DECT, not bluetooth - this means you get excellent range (I've tested up to 100') but you can't pair it to your cell phone. The cell phone pairing is only for the address book sync, and for connecting cellular calls to the system.

worst phone of any type that I've ever used
How can I begin to describe all the things that are wrong with this phone? 1. Loud pops and crackles on every call, with each of the three receivers, through the earpiece and on speaker. I actually have to hold the phone away from my ear in order to hear the caller without the pops hurting my ears. It was like this out of the box, but I only noticed in retrospect. I usually use my cellphone. I just have this phone as a backup landline. So because I used the phone rarely, I didn't realize that every single call was poppy and crackly. Whenever I had a crackly call, I assumed that it was that one connection. Then one day I had to make a lot of calls, but I wasn't able to use my cell at all. Only then did I realize how crappy the calls on the vtech were. 2. Endless menu labyrinths to click through to do simple, every-day operations. 3. There is no way to make calls using the headset alone; you have to have the handset to dial, then turn on the headset, then turn off the handset really fast before the ear-piercing feedback between the two begins. Lost the connection after you walked away wearing the headset? Oh, too bad, you have to walk back down the hall to get the handset. Lost the connection several times because the other caller is moving through cell dead spots? Well, you needed the exercise, right? 4. The headset clings onto the base using a magnet. With the over-the-head headband attached, the headband sticks way out (about a head's width :) behind the base. The base is unstable, the magnet is not strong, the headband sticks out to bump anything that comes near it, and it is the easiest thing in the world to tip the entire base over, dumping the base, the handset, and the headset on the floor. Want to dust under the phone? To avoid a three-piece explosion, you'd better use two hands to jtightly grip the whole setup and move it tenderly to a safe place--no picking up the base with one hand and dusting under it with the other hand! 5. The earpiece is horribly uncomfortable. There is hardly any difference between the earhooks, or between the earbud covers, in terms of fit and comfort. It's true I have have delicate little Princess Ears, but unless this phone is designed strictly for Large Manly Man use, I would think SOME combination of bud and hook could work. Even putting up with the serious discomfort, I can't keep the heavy and awkward earpiece on my ear. That is why I have to use the headband. Using the headband doesn't make the experience any less painful, but it more or less keeps the piece near my ear until I move or look down. 6. The headband itself is not really adjustable. Yes, the metal piece slides in and out of the plastic part to accommodate those Manly Mannish Big Heads. But that's all it does. It doesn't also stay in the smallest position for the delicate Princess Heads. So I'm constantly grabbing at it right before it falls into my bowl of soup or lab work. 7. The headband has a T-shaped end with a grippy rubbery substance to prevent sliding, on the side opposite of the earpiece. At first this seems like a great idea. Unless you have long hair, which I do. God forbid that you wear your hair pulled back or in a braid! Up-do, ponytail, braid--however you wear your long hair, you're going to get tangled up in this headband, and it's going to happen a lot, because it keeps falling off your head and dangling by the T-end from a tangle of your hair. I'm on the phone a lot, so even though each one of these things might seem a minor complaint, having to deal with all of them every time I use the phone is seriously frustrating. I'm going to replace it as soon as I have the patience to shop for something better. People who can suggest a better phone are kindly invited to respond. Best feature: The display light is blue. It's pretty.

Great unit but....
Don't get me wrong this unit is a great system, however, my disappointment came with the headset. I replaced my existing vtech system with this unit but this headset does not seem to be noise cancelling like my other unit was despite this model being the newer version of the old unit I had. You can really hear everything with this headset including when my hair accidentally brushes against the area where the mic is. Other than that it's a great unit. Sound is clear and headset comes with more attachments than the previous model. I also like that the charging component for the headset is now incorporated with the base answering machine portion of the unit as opposed to having separate charging base for the headset. Much more centralized for the home office and takes up less space. As in previous reviews the clip used to connect the earpiece to the headset on this unit is very small and easily breakable. Its exactly the same as the older model and mine broke within weeks of purchase. I am trying to be extremely careful with it but I anticipate it breaking off at some point in the future.

User Friendly Even You Can Do It!
Love this phone system, at first I was a little worried that I would have to call my computer knowledge son to help set it up, but it was easy. I haven't set up the cell phone part but read it looks easy as well. the head pieces was great worked great was on a long distance call for 7 hours, went all over the house and 25 feet outside and it still worked, never lost the connection nor was the any outside noise, I live in a valley so usually there are connection issues, but this so far is working great .easy to set date, time, answering mach. very user friendly . I suggest anyone looking for a house phone with headset this is the one, the cell phone connection is just a bonus I had a hard time searching for a headset phone and understanding each f them actually offered. but this phone system write up was the easiest for me to understand, most of them you don't know if they will work with house line, plus the Bluetooth mention is a little intimating , but if your like me and not 100% tech savvy don't worry it's super easy

Good buy
This is my second one I purchased. I've owned my other set for over 4 years with no problems. I don't know why people are having problems with the headset or any of the functions like are listed in the reviews but I'm here to tell you this is a good set to use. It has good sound quality good range good battery life and the headset is extremely convenient and I can talk on it all day at the office without the battery going dead. I use the headset with the headband and it works perfect. People say that the headband is too big will they must have heads the size of of grapefruits then.
