Just what the HR Meter needed
My old Scosche strap was worn out and I was concerned I couldn't find a replacement. Got these replacement straps in original packaging, and in a unique color. Works perfectly now and arrived quickly and on time.

Comfortable and Durable
I loved the color and quality of these bands. This product comes with both large and small bands which are perfect for my husband and I . You can also hand wash them if they are sweaty and they are as good as new.

Great producta
I purchased this product for breast cancer awareness. I've been using this heart rate monitor for the past year. The straps are easy to clean, comfortable, and well made. Great product!

Works great, order more if you have big forearms.
It works perfectly, at least the long strap. The short strap, which is supposed to be big enough to fit around your forearm, for me isn't even close. The long strap is pretty versatile though, so I can go back and forth. It just means that if you have big forearms, that one useable strap will wear out faster. Also, I never understand why they bother making different colors. When you hook the thing up, the colored part is against your skin, except for the very end where you tighten it. Most of what can be seen is black.

Perfect replacement
I bought these to replace the black band that came with the Scosche Rhythm. It comes with both a small and a large band. I got a yellow one because I had trouble seeing the old band inside my dark black gym bag. Works well as advertised.

Simplicity and Durability
Like the small wristband even more than the medium armband. Washable, no buckles or floppy strap ends. Perfect for all activities.

Gets the job done, but there are a couple issues.
I bought this strap to replace the original one that came with my Scosche HR monitor. The layer of fabric on the strap that sticks to the velcro tab on the original one (about 2 years old), is peeling off so it no longer holds the monitor on my arm securely. The HR monitor and strap have had frequent use during those two years (running or cycling 5 or more days a week) and the strap was hand washed after every use. Overall, I think that's a reasonable lifespan for a fabric product subjected to that level of use. If my new strap lasts that long, I'll be satisfied. The new strap arrived on time and was well packaged. I ordered the yellow because I like to be as visible as possible when I'm out riding or running. It actually comes with two straps, one that is supposedly for larger arms and one that is for smaller arms (or at least I think that's what the sizes are based on). I've used the strap once so far and it got the job done, holding the HR monitor firmly in place on my upper right bicep during a 90 minute bike ride. But I do have two issues/questions (one which also applied to my original strap). The first is strictly cosmetic and not a big deal to me, but doesn't seem to make sense. If you're going to make a strap in a hi-vis color (or any color for that matter), why design it so that the color is on the inside of the strap where it can't be seen? The only part of the color that shows are the velcro tabs that loop over the monitor to attach on the outside. The second issue/question is: Why are the straps so short and not made out of a more flexible fabric? No one will ever accuse me of having big biceps, but even with the larger strap, there is not enough extra strap available (in my opinion) to provide the best possible velcro connection. When the strap and velcro are new, it's fairly secure, but over time, as the velcro loses some of its "stickiness" I've had it pop open and once on a run, it actually fell off my arm. When cycling, it's not so much of a problem because I wear the monitor under my jersey sleeve. But even then, I've had the old strap come loose on rides and I've lost the heart beat connection (very annoying). Ideally, I think the large strap should be made an inch or two longer with slightly more flexible fabric. Most of the occasions of the strap coming loose were when my arm flexed causing a slight increase in my bicep size which pulled the velcro away from the strap. The strap has to be worn snugly (but not tight) to ensure a good HR connection, but then, if you flex your bicep (like you do when you reach into a back jersey pocket, for example), there's a chance one of the velcro tabs will pull away, especially after the strap has seen some use. Don't get me wrong, I've been pleased overall with my Scosche monitor and when it finally dies, I'll probably get another one. Having the velcro come loose is annoying, but it happens infrequently and I've learned to take extra care to make sure the velcro tabs grab the fabric tightly when I put it on (but a longer, more flexible strap would solve that problem). To me, the Scosche HR monitor is more comfortable, especially on long rides and doesn't irritate my skin like my chest strap HR monitor does. So I do recommend this strap (and the HR monitor) but its use does require knowing its limitations and taking some extra care when putting it on to reduce the chance of it coming loose.I purchased this product on my own and have not received or been promised anything by Amazon or the seller in exchange for this review.
