Claw Tuff Cat Angle Scratcher with Toy

This review is for the angled scratcher. I like that it’s not too big and doesn’t take up too much space, but is still a good size for my cat so she uses it. I’ve tried horizontal scratchers, which she never used, and well as vertical scratchers and finally angled scratchers. She definitely prefers the angled scratcher, but all cats are different so your mileage may vary. This is actually the second one exactly like this I’ve purchased (last one was from a different store but was exactly the same item). It lasted a few years and eventually the rope started fraying and was eventually cut all the way through after a few years (about 3 years) of use, which I consider to be very good lifespan for something that is scratched with very sharp nails on a daily basis. My cat uses it virtually every single day. She gets excited when I come home from work and scratches it extra in her excitement. Mine came with a white pom-pom on the top rather than the 2-tone red/green shown in the picture but that is fine and actually preferred. I will purchase again in another few years if/when the rope on this one eventually wears out. Highly recommend.

this review is for the angle scratcher option. I really like this product and have bought two. the first one lasted years, I replaced the sisal on it once before my (large with huge claws) cat scratched thru into plywood. I bought a second one and it's going strong. it's heavy and sturdy enough that His Chonkiness can really go to town on it.the first one was the beige color pictured, the second had a green-beige carpet covering if that matters to you (I didn't mind it).

The angled scratcher that I received is a deep maroon color rather than a beige- my cat LOVES these scratchers regardless so I am keeping it- but if color is important to you, be ware!

The design is great. My old cat loves it so much he sleeps by it.

The media could not be loaded. Already had one, cat loves it. Bought second one. V sturdy, my large cat is v destructive and it held up pretty well for a year. New one has black/white carpet pattern as opposed to the previous beige. I prefer the black and white! Don’t think you can choose though. Recommended!

This product is excellent in every way except one. My cat felt it necessary to point this out. He got stuck in the space between the upright piece and the angled piece. The triangle space is just big enough to try to go through and too small to small to allow it to happen. He got stuck and twisted up in it. I was grateful to have been right there when it happened. He is an average size nine pound cat. He really did love it, but I had to take it away from him. It would be okay for kittens. It is also too short for an average cat to use. He used it by tipping it over. If it were taller with a much wider space, or no space, it would have been perfect. I was a bit surprised at how small it is. I guess I didn't pay attention to the measurements and relied.on the picture. My fault.

I have bought 3 of these in the last 2 years. My cat at first ignored this scratching post..one day, she decided to use it and now we cant get it away from her. She tears one apart in just a few months. Looks like I will be buying another one in around 5 months.

This is the best scratcher! My kitties both love it and use it often. Many times a day they run to it. All perfect - the sisal rope, the angle, not too large, the surrounding carpet. They have no use for flat horizontal scratchers or straight up vertical styles.
