I own 3, and each I've avoided auto bed leveling
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent Printer, and built like a well made product, but requires a little bit of tinkering before you start smiling in appreciation. If you buy this expecting a perfect print as soon as you turn it on, you will be saddened... You've been warned Expect a a disaster if you do not adjust bed level sensor to your desired z height, otherwise expect print head will smash and destroy your bed plate. Another tip is to do all adjustments with bed and head at operating temps. It will do Excellent prints after alot of dialing in and will reward you with smiles as you are in awe of how much print quality ANET improved over the years. This thing is an excellent printer, but you need to tweak it and fine tune the perfect slice settings for this to print ultimaker level prints... I run it off octopi remotely and it runs beautifully. I find it so much better that a8 plus, as it is just reliable and never needs bed adjustment after first week. I liked the first one I ended up buying another, . Just remember it doesn't have a silent board so it can be noisy... But I run my printers at high speed so it's screaming and I tend to keep them far away from occupied rooms. Silent boards are only found in pro model, and creality ender 3s V2 have no bed leveling but have silent boards. I'm biased I like the anet design and fit and finish over the creality product line, the frame stability is excellent on et4 and way more stable than my older a8 plus. Also anet has firmware updates on this, so update soon as it will fix some previous firmware glitches. Happy printing. I get beautiful reliable prints daily.... and Customer service has been a pleasure to work with on warranty related item. Buy with confidence, as i look forward to their future products

****Not for beginners****
I would have to say not for beginners. In order to adjust the auto settings you will need to set the auto at 015. If you are using Cura for slicing set the printer to Prusa i3 and its the best settings for this printer. If you are new I urge you not to buy this. I would start a smaller printer that is already built. If you are advanced this is a good one. Just been fighting to print this only cuz this is a new printer. So far its good nice touch screen. Once you get the settings down right it should work just fine. I will add a new updated review after i get my first Print.

Not so thrilled. Don't update the firmware
I just received my printer today and the experience has been less than stellar. First I could not get the printer to communicate with the provided install of Repetier-Host so I decided to update the firmware. Updating the firmware Bricked my machine and Anet's troubleshooting page forces you to purchase an extrea piece of equipment from some random company and void the warranty of the machine to even begin to try and troubleshoot this issue. I am really disappointed being I needed this printer up and running today to aid my other printer in printing equipment for my local healthcare workers during the coivid-19 outbreak. I am sure it will be great once I get it up and running however for any price I would expect the product to work the day it arrives.Update!I exchanged the unit through amazon and have been fighting with the new one all day today, here's a list of the issues I'm having:1. no matter what I do I cannot get this thing to connect to repetier host which is included on the SD card2. I think the auto leveling feature just flashes numbers on the screen to make the user think it's actually doing something when in reality the thing is just going to do what it wants.2. Building print files and transferring them to the printer via micro sd does seem to work however the printer starts printing about an eight inch above the print bed so the plastic just balls up on the nozzle3 The thing crashes all the time, Melted 3 holes in the included print mat, and when it feels like it totally ignores the end stop switches.I am not the most advanced 3D printer user in the world but have been running with an old Colido diy 3d printer for several years and that thing works like a space x rocket compared to this thing and still has never let me down. At the end of the day I can say this, I will never buy another product from Anet again. They just seem to be garbage all around. On the bright side I did have to update the firmware on the second printer and that went well so there's that...

Auto Level height needs factory adjusted for the glass plate
Caution: out of the box it seemed to be malfunctioning and trying to self destruct, there is a set screw on the side of the hot end that holds the auto-level sensor in place, it is set for direct contact with the aluminium for some reason instead of the height for the glass. The auto-level sensor also doubles as the z endstop, and now homes on the plateAfter fixing the sensor height the printer works great so far.I printed their dog sample, and then a raspberry pi case vertically, both were in PLA.Update: I'm having inconsistency issues with the auto leveling, it varies with higher heat. I've found that if you adjust the leveling with it hot, the printer will crash into the bed the next time it is cooled down. With the hotend at 250 and the heatbed at 100 the printer if you adjust the height at these temps it will crash in to the bed when cool, if you adjust the height when it is cool, and then the printer preheats to 100 heatbed, 250 hotend with the hotend near the bed during preheating the printer will print too high off the bed.I don't have a solution to this problem yet, but I'm considering replacing their firmware so that I can add a mechanical limit switch for minimum z to avoid self destruction.
