You WILL need a washer if running Raceface cranks and plastic boot arm protectors. The spindle and crank tolerance will not permit the boot from rubbing without the washer

no , it is for mountain biking , you can use a specialized shoe like Five Ten Impact shoe

Q: Do these fit with the Raceface crank boot protectors? They look like they have too large of a diameter shaft.

Stephanie, they should fit. Crank boot protectors are designed to work with pedals and I know of no instance where a pedal did not work with a crank boot protector
