It works as described
It does everything you would want in an iPad cover. It’s durable, my last one lasted or 3 years. Great fit and easy to install. The feel is good as well, not to rough not to slick. It offers plenty of grip. Holds your pen snug. The only problem is if you keep your charger in it, kind of a lose fit.

Good value
What I like about these:- The handle. I never again want a tablet case that doesn't have a handle. I didn't realize how hard holding a tablet was on the ball of my thumb until I had to do without that handle.- Solid, neutral colors. Nothing against fans of splashing Starry Night or Hello Kitty on everything, but I like having the option of a quiet, businesslike, solid color.- The non-skid surface. My last case didn't have this non-skid interior, and the tablet was always falling over.- The pencil holder. Fits my Apple pencil snugly, but I don't have to wrestle it out.- The fit. Fits my IPad 8 very well, but, again, I don't have to fight to the death to get the thing out.- The price. Sure, I could buy an Otterbos or similar, but does it really make sense to pay nearly 20% of the price of the tablet on a case, especially when you have no idea if that case will fit your next tablet? Only if you're taking your tablet mountain climbing. My tablet doesn't have a rough and tumble life, so I can't see paying more than $20 for a case, especially once I've paid $20-30 for a screen protector. This case protects the buttons and corners, and has a pretty good padding over the front when closed if you want to toss it into a suitcase or backpack. What I don't like"- The magnet closure. It's so weak as to be ineffective. The on-off works fine, but the magnet does nothing to hold the case closed. My last case (same style) had a much better magnet.- I wish the handle was about a third wider than it is. It would be more comfortable.

A good-fitting and well-made case with good protection that makes holding your iPad much easier.
Well I was going to get a real leather case for my iPad 7th gen, but I thought I’d give this brown version of the case a try, and I’m happy I did. It doesn’t look quite as leather-like in person, but it could fool you if you didn’t know. It seems to be well-made and the flap that covers the screen has a decent amount of cushion in it. My iPad is below the lip of the case after pushing it into the cavity of the case, and it’s settled in nice and snug. And as an aside, I must say that the white bezels of my gold-colored iPad go well with the gray lip of this case. One thing I was worried about was the hand strap that you use to make it easier to hold the iPad vertically, has a bit of a hard and rough edge where the strap connects to the case, but you can actually only feel that if you pull your finger against that connecting point. In reality I don’t think that connecting point touches the screen when the case is closed because it’s below the level of the main part of the strap, and even if it did the rough part is not the top of that connecting point. But that concern is the only thing I could call a possible flaw.I can’t comment about the fit of the Apple Pencil holder since I don’t yet have the pencil, but for those concerned about getting it out of the holder, there are two open slots at the back of the holder which should allow you to pop out the pencil relatively easy. I do wish the hand strap was a bit tighter, but it does work fine as is. The case strap for holding the flap open works fine, as do the ridges that let you prop open your iPad to watch videos and such. The slot for papers on the front isn’t super roomy, but it’s good for a decent amount of papers I would say.All of the iPad buttons and connectors fit perfectly and are completely uncovered, except for the smart keyboard connector. If you plan on adding a smart keyboard this is not the case for you, although I’m sure you can still use a Bluetooth keyboard. I suspect that this case will be reasonably durable and will be more than worth the price. It’s not too heavy, and it makes holding my iPad easy in both the portrait and landscape orientation. If I could I would rate it 4.75 stars — nearly perfect. For the price I doubt you can beat it. I highly recommend it!
