Hikvision V5.3.0 DS-2CD2032F-I Replace DS-2CD2032-I 3MP 1080P Poe with SD Card Slot IR IP Network CCTV Camera Multi-language 4mm

I ordered the 2032F-I and I received the Gray Market DS-2CD2035-I instead. It has "CH" in her serial number. Not what I was expecting. You cannot get firmware upgrades from HIKVisions website.It also does not have the Micro SD card slot like the 2032F-I advertised.It came without a CD and the manual/box are 100% in Chinese. You can download the English manual online, but it's poorly written.The default passwords which should be 12345 or 123456789abc do NOT work. When you first plug the camera in, it is supposed to prompt you to set your admin password. This "activates" the product. However these cameras were already activated, and thus the default passwords did not work.To get around this, unplug the camera, Hold down the Reset button on the back, Plug the camera back in to power it on, and keep holding the reset button for 12~15 seconds (until the red lights in front turn off). After this, when you return to the page, you can set the password to anything you want.The default address is 192.168.1.64 (static) and you cannot enable DHCP until after you have logged in. I used a temporary router configured with a gateway of 192.168.1.1 to be able to see the device and log in.I also found that this is not working with the Synology drive security system package either. For as much money that I paid for these, I shouldn't have had to have spent hours troubleshooting and reserve engineering them. The NAT storage (Samba) didn't work either, while my other cameras worked just fine.The white balance in the video was also serious off and the picture was very warm, and I couldn't figure out how to change it.

Great camera once it is set up which is easy if you know the password. Documentation and web site state password is "12345" which worked for the 1st camera I bought but not the second. I sent my second one back for a replacement. They said they changed the password to "123456789abc". The replacement camera then set up in 5 minutes. A small piece of paper in the box which states the password would have saved me 3 hours of frustration. Now that you know the password I would highly recommend the camera.

Good- Works great, nice construction, supports the 128gb micro sd card I put into it.Bad- Instructions are really lacking which makes it hard to setup and get recording. Could not get unit to record to network harddrive (connected to my router), did not want to use a pc to be running 24/7 just to record so I was forced to use a 128gb card directly in the camera, which is giving me 4 days to date (still recording) of history. A huge lack of support setting it up software side is the reason it loses a star.Sometimes viewing the camera in different programs and apps will cause it to change the actual image setting in the camera.If you were able to set up network recording please comment letting me know how you did it!I bought it from SafeGuard Designs to ensure I got a red/white box unit.

These are great cameras. I've installed Stardots, Foscams, etc. These are quality built of cast metal, the pivot joints are sturdy, and as far once you get them installed, they keep working without fail. Image quality and motion detection is also excellent.I recommend pairing this with the Hikvision NVR units. Together, it's a good, user friendly system that works.I have a few of these in place with residential customers, and I haven't heard anything but excellent feedback.One note... these do require a little network knowledge to setup properly. They may be difficult for the average consumer to get up and running. The cameras come with a set IP address, and it's best if you can connect to the camera from a PC first to configure some general settings before you connect it to the NVR. This takes some network configuration on your PC to talk to the camera and setup it's IP address, etc.So, these are a little bit of a pro device, but I personally have had a great experience.
