I’ve had Maxam waterless cookware going on 40 years. I’ve purchased several sets for gifts through the years too. Mine has been used and probably abused too and still out performs other cookware. I’ve always washed them in the dishwasher, and followed the instructions for burnt on food (doesn’t happen often). I’ve tried other brands and types by buying one pan to see how they performed because of their advertising hype, and was happy to stick with my Maxam cookware. I still use my original 40 year old set, although my knobs and handles are discolored, and I have a second newer set too. I was looking to buy replacement knobs and handles for my 40 year old set when I came across this 28 piece set. I loved that it had the handles on both sides and thought it would be a great addition to my single-handled pots. Plus, I loved the fact that it came with some items that I didn’t have, steamer, fry basket, over pan grater, bowls that can be roaster tops. I’m excited about cooking with the new set! The price was fantastic too at $165! It sure beats spending $3,000 on a set that does the same thing, and I have been to and hosted those cookware shows. I did find replacement knobs and handles, and to get the best pricing I had to buy them by the case. I didn’t get them through Amazon, but did find them at a seller’s web site that does business with Amazon. You can find the knobs and handles at DollarDays.com.

My wife loves her new cookware. They are heavy and have big adjustable vented lid handles just like the sets that cost several times more. Many other sets of cookware that the makers refer to as"waterless" aren't nearly as heavy and don't have these nice vents so they might not work as well as these.Please note that you must learn to use this cookware. The manual that comes with them is a bit skimpy so Google you up some additional information on cooking with and caring for waterless cookware. They require lower heat and far less water or oil than regular cookware but your food gets done a lot quicker due to the pressure created by the heavy lids and vents. If you cook like you did with your old cookware you'll wind up burning your food and creating a nearly impossible mess on the inside surface of this set.One caveat though! Don't make your wife mad enough at you for her to hit you with one of these pots or pans or even lids. They are really heavy and they will leave a mark! LOL

My wife does most of the cooking in our house and she is absolutely in love with these pans. Using them is a bit different than how most of us grew up learning to cook, but they work very well. This was a great purchase and a great product. Four stars because I don't cook.

Purchased as a Christmas gift. I got a set of stainless steel pots n pans about 27 years ago. With the correct care I have never had to purchase another set. They still look new and shiny. I did some research as my mom has waterless pots n pans so I know the quality. My daughter and her boyfriend will not ever to buy another set of dishes as these are lifetime warranted. She sees how i took care of mine and my mom hers so far my daughter loves them.
