How hard is it to set the time?

It is very easy to set the time. The time hands are friction driven, so you just turn them to the correct time as needed. On another note, I DEFINITELY advise against purchasing or building this clock kit. It is borderline impossible to get it to run corrective after spending hours and hours fine tuning it. There are much better wooden pendulum clock lots out there to choose from that work VERY well when completed. I've built four of them and the Abong David is by FAR the worst kit. Save yourself a ton of aggravation, make another choice.

How long will the clock run? Similar clocks only run 12 hours then have to be rewound. Is this one the same?

How do you wind it, does it have a crank? Or, do you have to remove it from the wall and do it from the back? Can anyone give me a description?

Winding the clock is an operation that requires two hands. One hand to slowly lift up on the weight, one hand to carefully spin the cord's wheel-gear as the weight moves upward. Be very careful that the cord doesn't slip off-track and BEHIND the wheel-gear. If that happens, the clock will run poorly,,, or not at all. Yes,,, daily winding of this clock is chore that can easily go wrong.

How thick, front to back, is this clock when finished ?

Approximately 4”; but I HIGHLY Recommend avoiding this clock kit. See my review under “three stars “. I would recommend a wonderful clock from “Wooden-Gear-Clocks.com” kits, they are fabulous.
