I Wanted This to be Excellent - it WAS NOT
Historically, I've only ever purchased premium quality (and priced) bits from respected brands we all have heard of. Over the years I've gone through more than my fair share of bits and needed some for a few cabinets and furniture projects. As an experiment I bought a set of Kowood bits over the winter and felt like they did a decent job and were a good value overall. Soon after I realized I needed a new rabbet and assumed (I know) the Kowood rabbet would also be similar quality. I ordered this bit in January but did not use it until today (the end of March) - well outside the return window. I realized my mistake but thought to myself, I only need it to rabbet 20 liner foot of poplar so no worries, even the cheapest bits can rabbet 24 linear feet, right? I am not too proud to admit I was wrong. After 9 linear feet (3 feet on scrap to zero in the cut and 6 feet on the project piece) I felt the bit give way and saw a tiny piece fly off (luckily no one was standing nearby). I've dulled many bits over the years, but I have never seen one break like this on a very high end piece of wood at a very conservative feed rate. I thought it must have been a fluke, but then I read a few reviews posted here with similar experiences. We can't all be wrong, so my advice to someone in the market for a rabbet is to stay away from this one.I was really hoping Kowood was a game changer. It would be great to have comparable quality products at a lower price. In the end, I got less than what I paid for. I will not be purchasing cheap bits again nor will wait to use something I order online. Lesson learned.

Good quality router bits
Comes setup for 7/16" rabbit. Worked great for me right out of the box. All pieces look well made. One will need a router template with an opening larger than 1 3/8" in diameter. I did not think about that at the time I ordered. I took my router template off and will either make or purchase one with a wider center hole.

Poor quality allen bolts
The quality of the Allen head (hex head ) bolt holding the bearing on top of the bit was so poor it stripped out the first time I tried to exchange the bearing. The hex head tool provided appears to be the correct size and did work to remove the hex head bolt holding the bearing. I had to use pliers to remove the bolt on the bit to exchange the bearing size. I will probably return this product because I should not have to use pliers whenever I need to change the depth of the rabbet.

Throw away the hex wrench
This bit was purchased to cut a rabbet joint on the radiused portion of a zero-clearance table saw inset, and it worked nicely. My problem was removing the hex head screws on both the guide bearing stack and the bit. They both were mounted tight and the steel where the wrench engages the screw rolled over. Fortunately the screw was undamaged. I have a set of high quality hex wrenches and was able to remove the screws without a problem. Overall, the price point was good for my requirements, but I am not sure I would want to use this bit for more demanding work.

Perfect and flexible for a variety of cutting widths
I am new to handheld routers and bought this for rabbet/rabbit routing. Other router bits seem to get really expensive. I bought this and am very happy. It comes with an adjustable set of round devices that you switch out for whatever width router shape you want. It’s easy to switch them out and provides flexibility for a variety of needs. If I were doing this for a living, I’d buy dedicated sizes... and end up needing to spend 10x the price. But for why I need, these are perfect.

Tried the new cutter and it gives very good results
I have only used it on two projects but so far I am very pleased with it. The quality seems to be good and the price too. I can't tell anything about the durability of the cutting edges with my little bit of use but i am confident it will be fine. The only thing I would have appreciated was a chart showing which bearing to use for a certain size rabbit. trial and error works, but a chart would save time.

Amazing bit!
This was a great purchase! My sister is an artist and I make frames for her. I purchased this rabbit bit to cut the inset in the wood for the frames. Previously I was using a table saw for this operation but was looking for something that would do the same job only quicker. This is it! Not only is it quicker, it's much more consistent. I love it! Thank you so much and I look forward to doing more business with you.

Cuts great, do test cuts for sizing
I enjoyed using this and am happy to have an adjustable use bit for different projects. It took a little bit of trying to figure out which bit would give me which depth because even though I’m good at math it seem to not add up properly. I figured I would just go through each one and make myself a chart which I think should be included with the product but for the price I am happy with what I purchased and all my cuts came out wonderfully
