Brilliant for home users
So I’ve been a professional nail technician for 10 years and when working on clients, I would always use the branded lamp of the brand that I used. This normally means that the price is greatly inflated because of branding.Having recently given up my nail business, I wanted to find a cheap lamp that I could use, just to do my own nails. Luckily the nanometer of this lamp matched what was required by the gel polish brand I use so I decided to give it a go.The lamp is pretty simple to use. Simply plug it in and it automatically is on and ready to go. There are 4 buttons on top that you can press once your hand is in the light that will do a designated time of 10 seconds, 30 seconds or 60 seconds. There’s also a 99 second timer where by the lights come on at half strength and after about 60 seconds increase to full level which means it’s great for products that are prone to giving a heat spike because it’s slowly starts the curing process. If you just place your hand in the light, it will count up. I’m not sure how high it goes, but I got just shy of two minutes and it was still counting. There are sensors that sense your hand are going in the light, but it would be nice if you could select the set amount of time that you wanted, put your hand in and then it counted that time down. My previous lamp also beeped when the timer was finished which this one doesn’t, but that’s only trivial. The light itself isn’t particularly weighty, it does feel quite thin and flimsy compared to the lamp I previously used, so it does move about on the table a bit if the wire is hanging down, but it did an absolutely fantastic job of curing my gel. It’s nice and shiny as it should be, there’s no signs of it, not being cured properly and it’s the fraction of the price of a branded light. If you are trading to the public, then by insurance requirements, you must use the lamp created for your brand, but for a home user, I recommend this one because it has the correct wavelength and nanometre to cure the majority of gel polishes on the market.I’m really pleased with it, and it’s simple to pop away back in its box once you’re done until you want to give yourself a new manicure

Works well but a little advice for those who are new to this.
Only received this yesterday so only tried it today on three nails as excited to try all three colours. Firstly I thought it was awful as my nails were still tacky after several attempts at curing them. Now bear in mind that I have never used gel polish before and that I didn't fully read the instructions and you will understand how I came to make a simple mistake. I did follow the instructions to clean the nail, put on a base coat, cure, then put on the colour, cure, then put on a top coat, final cure. What I hadn't quite understood was the instruction to wipe the nail after all the curing with the cleaning solution to remove the sticky residue. Once I did that all was well and the polish was hard and shiny. So remember to wipe the nails with an appropriate cleaner to get rid of the tacky residue. So far this product is working just as it should the gel polish looks good, my application needs a bit of work though. The lamp itself seems sturdy and has an automatic action so when you put your hand in and push on the little ridge inside it starts counting up for you. Or of course you can use the timer buttons on the top. They are a bit small to see (old eyes here) and face away from you but that is not a major issue. All in all I am happy with this lamp, how well it does long term remains to be seen but I can't see myself using it often enough to wear it out quickly.

If its good enough for my nail technician - that's all the recommendation I need.
Bought this lamp because - even in lockdown - I like my nails to look good. I tried to do my homework well in comparing all the available models and the Sun seems to come out best. I had noticed that my nail technician's lamp was also a Sun, which gave me added confidence in my purchase. Its an attractive piece of equipment which seems to work well. I like the added bonus that I can use gel polish or gel build up with this lamp - if I so wished.I also like - the fact that curing does not take as long as with some lamps.its size - allowing room for a small hand as well as a much larger oneand can be easily transported when I am away from home.the fact that the bottom can be removed - either for easy cleaning or for toe curing.the way the lights are evenly spread around the inside of the lamp for even curingand the dual temperature curing function. If there is one negative for me, its that the cable could be longer. It is a bit more expensive than the rest but, as long as it lasts me a little while, I can cope with that.I will continue to have my nails done by a professional technician but will find it more than useful if I have to continue to do my own for the foreseeable future, as well as for taking away with me on holiday to deal with any mishaps and to carry out any repairs in between visits.20th July 2025I have now had my lamp for 3 years and I have to say it has been all over the UK with me every time we went away in our tourer and recently staying in hotels and cottages. It has worked well and is still going strong. I have used it quite a lot n other people’s broken nails as well as s8ng it for myself. I do not go anywhere withou5 i5 and hopefully it will last me for years to come.I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes to keep nice nails or who regularly breaks them by constantly having them in hot water.

Amazing nail lamp, cures well but with the thick application you have to cure a few times
It is such an amazing lamp, lightweight, amazing quality and so easy for on the go. Cures so well. No hot spikes and only thing is with the thick application, it needs to be cured multiple times. So do a thin layer, cure and then a thick
