Yes, you can paint this model. I have re-painted a few of my die-cast models. Best results are with a spray primer followed by the spray paint of your choice, but the car should be dis-assembled as completely as possible.

Do I have to actually put it together, or does it come built inside the box?

It comes 100% completely built in the box.

Does this have steerable wheels? I bought one that said it did but turned out it didn’t. Thanks

The wheels do move but they do not turn with the steering wheel.I have created the attached bodeo so you can have a better idea.I hope that helps.
