This is the one to buy
We had to say goodbye to our cat recently. I was always careful to keep him up to date on flea treatments, but apparently the fleas decided to stick around once he left. Tried a couple of different sprays from Walmart but they seemed to only last for a few days and then the problem would just come back worse than before. After some searching, I decided to try the Adams carpet powder and spray as a last resort before calling an exterminator. Let me tell you, this is the one to buy. Exterminator was not needed. Here are my take aways from this:1. Use both the powder and the spray. Just go ahead and buy some of each. It is worth the money. Be sure to read the directions on both before use. The powder needs to be lightly swept into the carpet with a broom, and then ideally left for several hours, up to overnight. I left mine overnight, vacuumed, and then sprayed with the spray. It took two treatments a week apart to fully get rid of everything, but after that, the fleas were gone.2. You will also want to use the spray on upholstered furniture, and around all the baseboards in your home in every room, including kitchen and bathrooms, even if you have hardwood or tile floors. Fleas will hide or lay eggs in the little gap between the floor and the baseboards. Also is a good idea to spray under furniture and appliances such as stove and refrigerator.3. After vacuuming, dump your vacuum bag or canister into your *outside* trash can *immediately*. Do not dump into your indoor trash or leave in your vacuum, as any possible survivors can make their way out and back into other rooms.4. All that being said, you will definitely need more than one bottle of spray and may need more than one container of powder depending on how much carpet you have. I ended up needing two full bottles of spray plus a little bit of a third bottle, which is fine because I'd like to keep some on hand just in case. Plus, this stuff also kills ants and other common pests so I'm sure it will be needed again for something. I was able to get by with just one container of the powder; it's a small house and I was only treating three small rooms.5. The powder has kind of a fresh scent to it, but it does not linger once it's vacuumed up. The spray has a chemical smell, but it goes away after a couple of hours.I am really glad I tried this product. It took care of my problem. Don't waste your money on the stuff from the grocery store, this product costs more, but it works!

Worked Like a Charm (I Think)
I just moved into a new house with 3 other roommates, 2 of whom own cats. The roommate who lived in the bedroom I now occupy also had a cat, and it was prone to having fleas. I move in, no pet, but to my dismay, I'm the only one in the house whose room is plagued with fleas. The landlord had steam cleaned my room twice prior to me moving in, and I had seen the house on several occasions, both before and after the previous occupant moved out, and there were no fleas. I guess the eggs were dormant for a while and decided to hatch to feast upon me.I notified one of my new roommates, who quickly set about flea bombing my room to no avail! In the meantime, I had been doing research so I already had this Adams Spray en route (as well as other products that I will mention shortly). The day it arrived, I sprayed my carpet and let it sit for a couple of hours (the instructions recommend letting it sit for at least one hour). I went in my room, stood still for a few moments. Usually the fleas attack my feet within seconds, I stood for several minutes, no fleas. My roommate vacuumed my room, and she had some food grade diatomaceous earth on hand (this ain't her first go-round with fleas), and she sprinkled a layer of this in every nook and cranny of my room. I let it sit overnight while I slept in a flea-free part of the house. In the meantime, I set up a Victor's flea trap, which consists of a light bulb and some sticky paper. In doing further research, I read that recreating one of these traps is as easy as having a desk lamp and a dish of soapy water, but that's neither here nor there. I checked the trap several times throughout the night, no fleas. I checked once more this morning, there was one flea stuck to the trap, a very dead flea. I again stood in several parts of the room, no fleas. So it's been 24 hours since I've used this Adams room spray, and I've yet to see a live flea. But as it's only been 24 hours, I'll remain vigilant. Also, because I just moved in, I was able to quickly and easily remove everything from my bedroom because I discovered the fleas before unpacking anything but my bedding. I also purchased a new mattress and box spring prior to moving in, and had a mattress cover on my mattress. So I will say that having an empty room and a protected mattress worked to my advantage. I also purchased the Vet's Best room spray for my bedding, mattress, box spring, and upholstered headboard for extra protection.Long story short: It's been 24 hours since using this spray in my empty bedroom, followed by vacuuming and a sprinkling of food grade diatomaceous earth, and I've yet to see a live flea in my bedroom.I'll update accordingly.UPDATE 5/21/2017: It's been four days. I found 3 more dead fleas on my sticky trap, which is odd because the trap was just sitting in a corner in my room, NOT turned on. Also, there was a live flea crawling on my arm today, and I sprayed it with the Vet's Best spray and it died instantly. I emptied my room once more and did another thorough spray with the Adams spray. So four days later, no new flea bites, 3 more dead fleas, and 1 live flea. I'll continue to update. I know it takes at least two weeks to be completely rid of fleas using this product, so I still stand behind my 5-star rating.7/27/2017 UPDATE: It's been a little over 2 months since my last update, so I thought I'd share my final verdict. There have been no more fleas or flea bites since my last update. However, the fleas may have migrated to my roommate's bedroom, because she ended up with a worse infestation than mine in her bedroom. She too used the Adams spray, and all has been well. Also, as a precautionary measure, I sprayed another round of Adams in my room so the fleas wouldn't find their way back to my bedroom. So far, so good. No fleas, no bites, and should I encounter either, I'll know what to do. Although I used several products, this Adams spray was an integral part of getting rid of these fleas. 10/10 would recommend.

Good product, does leak when spraying...
Good solution to clear Fleas, was getting bit by Carpet fleas for a week, tryinf everything in home and wouldn't stop, decided to get this, easily sprayed the room, and NO fleas the next day. Safe to stay in the room after spraying as the smell never really bothered me. The nozzle of the spray would leak few drops when spraying ghe whole room which is kinda odd but can be washed off. Atleast it got rid of the problem instantly. Recommended 10/10 (1 star cut off for the nozzle leaking otherwise great product).

Keeps fleas off your furniture very very effectively
Very helpful in controlling an infestation. Use it strategically. Get 2 bottles cuz if you run out, you need to have some on hand to continue the fight. Love this stuff seriously. Keeps the little buggers out of my bed too.
