Edging Guide for Straight Shaft Echo Trimmers (EXCEPT ones with a "T" in Model Number)

Works fantastic! Echo PAS 225. I already have established edges so edging now is super quick and looks great. I’m amazed at how fast I could edge and how great it looks. I have a riding mower but quite a bit of area that it can’t access. This device makes trimming and “mowing” those large areas so much better & easier. I watched a few videos of professionals using this and they noted that it created a lift/suck, which it does but some how it doesn’t cause it to grab or dig in. My trimmer spins counter clockwise, so as long as I trim right to left it works great with no grabbing and digging in, left to right will. I previously had a stick edger attachment for a craftsman trimmer. I always felt like it didn’t cut all that sharp and crisp and wasn’t all the fast to complete the work. The trimmer was under powered and blew the ring. That attachment doesn’t fit the Echo and I never got around to getting one. Since, I’ve been edging freehand. I did use the Edgit on my neighbors sidewalk edge that was very over grown and it was a bit of a bear to complete. A stick edger wouldn’t have been easy at all either. I do think $90 for a plastic plate is quite expensive, but I would rush to buy it again if I needed another one. Though it’s plastic it seems plenty durable. If you’re at all wondering about it, just get it you’ll be so glad you did.

I just could never do a good job edging with my string trimmer (any of them), I just can't stay steady enough to get a nice straight edge. Anyway, this thing works great. I didn't realize how important the distance/space between the string flying around and the disk is, that determines the 'width' of the 'slice' basically. I had to put the original Echo trimmer head back on my SR210 because the 3rd party head had too much space between the string and the disk. Anyway, I couldn't be happier as long as it holds up, and I think it will, it's a real heavy type of plastic that I think is reinforced or something. I suppose you could break it somehow but you'd have to be a real, well anyway. I can see how if you are in a rocky type soil area you could have stones going everywhere but I would think that would happen with any type of string trimmer. The operation is as easy as the youtube videos show.

Every homeowner who trims their yard and edge their drive and ways, should have this tool. This tool simplifies the process with the greatest of results.

Its basically a trimmer guard that is full circle!But the convenience it offers is amazing. For those who are artists with their trimmers this might not be useful. But for lesser mortals this attachment serves as a physical and visual guide that helps edging and trimmer easier.Thought it has a tendency to pull the disc closer to the ground at high RPM's due to suction, just angle it a bit and you can get rid of that issue.I bought this mainly to edge my curb which is long and curved. Metal blade edge gradually chews up the concrete and had no patience to edge my long and curved curb using just a trimmer. Hence this came as a boon to get the job done quickly.I have an ECHO trimmer and I bought the ECHO model but the holes still didnt align right. Had to take a drill and slightly make bigger holes they will fit and hence it lost a star.Otherwise, great product!

This is the best thing that’s ever happened to the lawn care industry it sucks that you can only use it on certain trimmers but when you’re a big guy like me and you’re able to do 30 homes on edge week by yourself and your back doesn’t hurt this is a great product. Also have the ability to edge the flowerbeds as well and other things that the edger doesn’t go into which is great

This thing is great this thing is awesome. If you're already good at edging a straight line. This will make you faster. If you're not so great transitioning from grass to cement side this will help. No cons thus far no notice the extra weight on the head. Perfect product.

I have been wanting one of these for a bit, but waited until I purchased my new Echo PAS 225 to buy this. Was simple install, however, the lube cap is a pita because the thin plastic wanted to just break off. Took some patience so I didn't just rip it off completely. The unit itself is perfect otherwise for what I expected.

All the screws fell out and were lost in the lawn after 6 users. Wasn't cheap
