These refills write very nicely. They feel nice and smooth to write with. They do not smear and are a dark black color. Cannot ask for more. Great value for four refills. Fit perfectly in my pen that came with an 888 F originally so a drop in replacement.

I have a bit of a pen fetish, but in recent years, my pens started piling up in a box when the refill ran out because I had no idea what refill I needed for each. Turns out, there are over 10 kinds of refills that my various pens required. Luckily, several of my pens take this particular size. So now I was concerned about getting quality rollerball ink. I have used 3 of these refills so far, and all of them have worked flawlessly. I love the quality of ink. It made me remember why I fell in love with good pens so many years ago.
