Great purchase! These keys function as stated. If you re-key or use the Smart key either way this is a very economical way to manage rental units or any reason for changing lock access.

They only fit in a couple locks
These are too big for the kwikset lock I've tried. I didn't use them till about a week ago and bought in Oct. So I can't return. I feel ripped off. Byer beware they may not work.

Great for a prank!
These were perfect for my purpose! They look like a standard house key. I added a tag to each one with my ex-son-in-law’s name and number and passed them out for people to drop all over the place. Last I heard he was getting calls about his “lost” keys!

A Landlord's dream

They work great on deadbolts but on door knobs you have to ...
. Have used and keyed kwikset locks for 20 years. The shape of the head and the size of the small edge stop on the cut part prevents it from always stopping at the correct depth when you insert the keys into a kwikset entrance lock. They work great on deadbolts but on door knobs you have to slightly pull the key back out and wiggle them to get the key to turn. If you have only deadbolts they will work great. Not worth the cost to ship them back, Very disappointed since they were such a bargain, but they were nicely numbered and grouped together.
