Braun Hair Clippers for Men MGK3220, 6-in-1 Beard Trimmer, Ear and Nose Trimmer, Mens Grooming Kit, Cordless & Rechargeable

My wife started cutting my hair during the pandemic and has continued since. She uses a cutter and had been using a Braun battery operated trimmer that broke. Bought this as a replacement. It cuts fine and does not need batteries as it has a rechargeable battery. We use it strictly as a hair trimmer and are using the beard and nose trimmer attachments.

Normally love Braun products. This was a replacement for an identical Braun that lasted ~2 years of light use. Battery life is miserable. Charge time too long. Not great ergonomics. UPDATE: This one only lasted about 2 years also.

We've had a corded Braun trimmer for 10+ years that was making some extra noise, and went to replace with a cordless.On first use, we're not so sure that the numbering on this cordless is compatible with the guides on the older corded model of the same brand. I've previously gone with a 4 for the sides, but a 5 setting on this cordless got a bit to close/short. My suggestion is to start with a higher length setting and then work lower as necessary to get used to how to position this product.As mentioned by another reviewer, the shorter guide clumped with hair easily. I had just washed and thoroughly dried my hair, and just three weeks from a previous cut, so we didn't expect this difficulty. This may be related to my previous remark that a 5 setting on this cordless model was trying to cut shorter than a 4 on our older corded model.What we did like was the easy handling. The cordless is great for maneuvering and generally working with a lighter tool. The narrower blade length did take longer for the bulk trimming areas, but it was more convenient to trim around ears.

works great, the adjustable clipper head is great too. the battery doesn't seem to hold a strong charge for long. Maybe it's just mine. I have a small beard that I keep trimmed a couple times a week...not daily use. So i would expect it to have a full charge still after a couple uses, but it seems to slow down.

There are several of these "adjustable" hair trimmers on the market, including this one from Bruan. Instead of utilizing individual spacer plates, they utilize a single plate that moves away from the cutting platen to accommodate longer cutting lengths... and there is the problem.As with other brands that use the same design, the gap created between the blade and the space plate quickly fills with cut hair... and it rapidly becomes ineffective.this design is also difficult to clean without popping off the spacer... which is a flimsy one at that. A dozen or times of so, and you're breaking that piece.Long story short... this design just doesn't work.... the fact that they allow it to space up to 21mm is an inside joke... it ain't working for more than 2-3 seconds at 21mm. At 3-4mm, you've got a shot.. but even then... with thicker hair, it will jam up.Do yourself a favor... get something with a better spacing mechanism.

I’ve just used it once and I’m already convinced. Anything that’s made in Germany is a guaranteed product.Probably will buy the other model soon!

Great clippers, but lasted only a year

This beard trimmer arrived fully charged and has yet to run down. It comes with four guides to allow the user to select the length of beard he (yes, I'll use the gender-specific pronoun since I don't know many ladies who need beard trimmers) he wishes. Great tool, especially for the money.
