KontrolFreek Performance Grips for PlayStation 4 (PS4) Controller (Nightfall Black)

I've been looking around for a controller skin, that looks nice and extremely comfortable. I own a PS4 and if you know, those get uncomfortable after playing several hours. I decided enough was enough. I started looking on Amazon, found something affordable with some really good ratings, went for it. After a couple of weeks having these on my controller, it works great. Comfy, collects the sweat and looks sharp on my black controller (I went with red, btw). If you're tired of having your hands hurting, you want something slick, give these a try. The price is right and they don't peel off. These are nice, tight grips, nothing cheap. If I had a second controller, I'd buy another pack. Highly recommended!

Well, honestly at first glance I was pretty confused on how the heck to install these grips, however the on-box instructions made it a simple breeze. The instructions are printed on the inside of the box, so don’t throw it away. It also tells you which side of the grip is which (for example the logo of the control freeks is the right side). There isn’t ANY sticky residue left over, and after deciding to adjust the grips time and time again, I finally got a perfect spot. It’s relatively simple to place on your control, and it should work with the new Sony Back Attachments. The grip itself, aesthetically speaking is relatively low-profile with a hexagon based finish, and a smooth yet rigid and sturdy feeling of the grip itself. After game testing for around 4-6 hours on games such as Apex Legends, Black ops 4 and COD Ghosts, the grip appeared to stay on without any trouble. Overall, it seems well-built enough to last for long gaming sessions. Time will tell if it holds up in the long run though. I can also confirm that it does help with sweaty palms, allowing my to grip my control better and reduce the amount of force needed to control the recoil (it also helps with controller vibrations.) So, looking for actual working and durable control grips? Look no further! This will surely get the job done. OVERALL RATING: 5/5 stars, no complaints yet. Current Review Date: 3/1/20.

A very nice looking grip. I found it to be quite easy to put on. Felt weird at first but it wore on me and I wouldn’t want to go without one on any controller. But After several months of use I noticed the grip actually slips away from the adhesive leaving this sticky residue to be touched which is very annoying. And people are right. The grip definitely peels in layers and it feels funny rubbing against my fingers sometimes. You could try to glue it back but it being in layers, I would assume glue would be the best choice to stick it all back together but hardened glue isn’t the most comfortable thing you want to have on a controller. I would give it 5 stars if it was more durable.

I didn't have my expectations too low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The grips weren't difficult to put on, and the adhesive seems to be fairly strong. The padding is nice, but not too thick. It does add extra grip as well, so it's as advertised in that area. It also looks nicer than I was expecting, which is a plus. My only complaint is that the little gap on the sides. It makes it a bit less comfortable to hold than it might be otherwise. I'm not sure what the function of it is, but I suspect it makes it fit PS5 controllers better.

My son loves these grips. Makes gameplay better because you can feel the toggles better which allows better control during games. Definitely worth the money.

1 star for decent packaging 1 star for clean removal 1 star for keeping the controller from getting too sweaty But even those are quite generous because as many other reviews mention, these grips REEK! It's not the kind of overpowering gasoline-like smell you get with some cheaply produced plastic lined fabric, nor is it the whole-room filling stench of lowest-bidder neoprene but it is an intensely noxious hydrocarbon smell that stays on your hands and can be smelled when you get within a couple inches of the grip. I really wanted to like these as I couldn't find any of the grips named after cephalopods nor named after the witch of the west (Squid, Wicked) for the DS4. In comparison to those grips these are a bit stiffer but about the same thickness with a slightly less aggressive texture. The lesser texture wasn't too slippery and still made the controller nicer to hold. They didn't last 2 days as the smell is way too much but removal was easy and they fold up pretty small in the trash.

Ok so if you just want something cool to add to your controller, for like mainly cosmetic reasons- then this is perfect. It looks really cool, with hexagon patterns all over and cutouts at the bottom. It fits on the controller nice and does give the controller a "diffierent" look. Unfortunately, that isn't what I bought this product for. The only reason I'm ok with giving it 1 star rather than zero is because the product did adhere nicely, better than I expected. It doesn't add any real grip, not any noticeable amount for me. Not with dry hands or with super sweaty hands. It doesn't have any more functional grip than the normal controller, in my opinion. It doesn't add any cushion either. None. Not enough to add comfort or enough to offer any grip. With the cutouts at the bottom, I feel it actually negatively affects my grip. My fingers don't wrap around the bottom naturally like they did with the normal controller. My finger tips kind of dangle off the end and search for grip on the controller surface, where the product doesn't reach. It gives a unsatisfying, unsure type of feel to my hands, feeling two different surface levels with the two different textures. I could explain more, but I think you get the idea. I don't like them. I would prefer them not be on my controller at all. I'm seriously considering taking them off after playing with them for a while- even though I know there will be a sticky disaster waiting for me after the product is removed.

Ho acquistato il prodotto per utilizzarlo con il dualshock della PS4 che trovo piuttosto scivoloso, ciò che può essere piuttosto fastidioso specialmente durante i giochi competitivi. Questi grips, di buona qualità, risolvono il problema, sono comodi e anche esteticamente gradevoli. Prodotto senz'altro consigliato a chi usa il duashock della ps4.

Es perfecto y tiene un muy buen agarre y duran mucho, lo he estado provando 3 meses y es lo mejor del mercado

This is the 2nd Kontrolfreek grip I have bought. I got a 2nd hand Scuff Impack controller and as my PS4 controller had the grip I bought another on for my Scuff. It fits perfectly and I love the feel. Even if you are playing for a good few hours. I never lost my grip and it felt great even after a good gaming session.

La calidad del material es muy buena, y es mucho más cómodo el uso del control con esto, ayuda a que no sude tanto la mano y que tener mejor control de los movimientos. Instalarlo puede parecer un poco complicado pero nos apoyamos con unos tutoriales y fue muy sencillo. Lo recomiendo, vale la pena su precio.

Fantástico como siempre, muy cómodo y de fácil colocación, los accesorios KF no defraudan.
