Wow! High-quality book, hundreds of photos, and an incredible Tang Soo Do reference!
Wow! This book is HIGH quality. A lot of times martial arts books are really hit-or-miss, but not this one. Paper and binding are high quality. Nearly every page is full color and their are hundreds of photographs throughout the book. But it's not just a photo/how-to book. There is text on grading criteria, history of the forms, and other topics as well. Forms are all well demonstrated, with intermediate positions in many cases. Each form is accompanied by a brief section on self-defense applications. This is an all-around OUTSTANDING book. If you're looking for a good Tang Soo Do reference, you really can't go wrong with this. Just keep in mind that this volume covers 2nd degree black belt through 6th - so it's not for beginners.

Best photo layout for hyung/forms!
Admitted Bias up front: I'm a member of the organization led by Grand Master Pak.I do believe that the color photos and front/back views of the forms are the best available. Caveat: other organizations may have slightly different details on positioning so always check with your instructor. This edition covers Chil Sung Sam Ro through O Ro, as well as Naihanchi Ee and Sam Dan. Kong Sang Kun, Wansu, Seishan, Oh Sip Sa Bo, Lo Hai, Sip Soo, and Jion are also found here. Bassai, Pinan Series, Naihanchi Chodan, and the first two Chil Sung are in volume one.

If you are a student of Tang Soo Do I would recommend this manual though it is not for beginners
I am testing for Cho Dan in August and have seen my seniors perform these forms many times and cannot wait to get to learn them. Although my school is affiliated with Grandmaster Uk Lee's organization and I also own a similar manual he compiled, I find Master Pak's manual has a little more information above and beyond just hyungs. If you are a student of Tang Soo Do I would recommend this manual though it is not for beginners.

Great choice for Tang Soo Do Reference
I was able to purchase this book at a very inexpensive rate - less than $100 at the time. I see it's not sky rocketed way above that price. The book has good information on the history of Tang Soo Do, history of forms and their meanings, practical application of each form included, and a section about terminology. This is a good reference to have on hand when learning or practicing Tang Soo Do forms but does not replace training in your dojang.

" It is an excellent repository of information for skills above the 1st Dan ...
This purchase was to replace my original copy of Volume 2 which was "lost while on loan." It is an excellent repository of information for skills above the 1st Dan level. My only criticism is that the book does not address levels above 6th Dan. Perhaps there will be a Volume 3?

Can’t read the text.
I Purchased this book to help review some techniques that I have since forgotten. The cover and photos are outstanding however the text is unreadable due to either the font that was chosen, or the pixelation. Considering how much I paid for this book I am extremely disappointed. This book is useless.
