3 Pack of Magic Drinking Birds-Perpetual Motion Science Original Novelty

Our grandchildren love watching the bird. I work with special needs they really enjoy it.

The media could not be loaded. Works great. I wish it came with its own little cup. I’m still working on finding the exact right height. Great purchase though.

This sophisticated bird (he is wearing a top hat after all) was a gift for our 4 year old who saw one like him and asked about it incessantly. It is what he wanted for his birthday. This drinking bird is sitting in our kitchen window and each of us spend some time each day watching him dip his felted beak into a refreshing glass of water and then sailing back up into the air only to do it again...and again...and again. He is always so thirsty! Unless of course, the temperature drops and then he must rest, without drinking. When the sun comes up again and it warms the window, Mr. Bird must be dunked top hat first into his glass of water and his head fully saturated to remind him of how much he enjoys his drinking activity, then he's back at it for the whole day! Very interesting fellow. This is definately not a child's "toy" to be played with. However, our child was so excited to receive it and enjoys watching the drinking bird and his drinking shenanigans. We are only using one bird but are happy to have a back up bird and another for a gift. The bird is made of glass and appears to be fragile so having a back up is a good idea.

Got it working for weeks straight until weather changed and has not worked since. Regardless - fun for the many weeks it worked

It's nice to relive your childhood when your 73 years old. These Magic Drinking Birds sure help to do that for me. For someone, who as a child would stare at the same kind of toy and wonder how they work, these birds still have the magic to amaze me today. I bought the 3 pack because I thought I would keep one, and give the other two to my grandchildren. However, instead I decided to triple my fun, watching all 3 drink together, and keep these all for myself. I do intend, however, to buy others for them. They are a lot of fun for the money.These birds arrived in perfect condition, each wrapped in bubble wrap. All of my birds worked as soon as they were set up. (Just remember to saturate the entire head and not just the beak with water to get each started.) If the bird isn't drinking as often or as fast as you want, you might also want to carefully slide the glass tube (the neck of the bird) upward within the metal collar, a tiny bit at a time, until it works the way you want.My only minor disappointment might be that the three birds in the pack were all the same color, red. (I suppose it is just a matter of chance which color bird you will get, since no particular color or mix of colors is promised; so I can't deduct any stars for this.)

I bought this and gave one to each of my sons for Christmas. This comes in a three pack and you cannot beat the price.Brings back such fond memories of when I was a kid. :) Great price and these are nice and sturdy! Perfect gift for anyone of any age.

Bird is hard to get working properly, started off good in the beginning but over time hasn't been working as well.

Had when I was a child. Loved them and now my great grandson loves to watch them.m
