No info on grants - but highly recommended anyways!
Absolutely loved this book. It mostly confirmed things that I had already came up with, but also gave a great rundown of what to do "next."My only negative feedback is the lack of information on how to get grants- rather than loans.I was looking forward to possibly reading about how to get my business started with as little risk to my family as possible. As a SAHM, I have had zero income for quite sometime, and having my husband take out a loan for me feels like it takes away from my "empowered, strong woman - who is trying to become a small business owner." -If that makes sense. Wish I would burn but will likely donate and forget what a time waste that was
This book is absolutely horrible. If you knowabsolutely nothing about businessand have plenty of time on your hand maybe read this book on the toilet. I am so mad how much this book wasted my time I considered burning it but probably going to donate it. The book is only 150 pages long roughly and it took until Page 65 to learn something actually useful to buy property and honestly you would be better off joining a laundromat forum. Over 20 pages were devoted to the clients past use of laundromats, another 25 pages to the history of laundry machines, not laundromats and then another 15 pages on what type entity to form. I pretty much could have wrote this book myself as the ideas it gives are compete common sense and the author basically added super big headings and 18 font to make the book look like it had alot more content than it does. Fortunately because its a simple read I can have my 7 year old read it. DO NOT BUY. Just watch a youtube video and you’ll learn more.

Helpful information
This book was helpful in the beginning stages of researching the laundromat business. Gives many things to consider and to prepare for.

5 star Would Recommend
Unlike the other books, this book covers both buying an existing laundromats as well as building a new one which I liked. I also enjoyed the step by step process of doing both including with how to come up with a valuation of an existing laundromat. The links the author shared on how to find a laundromat for sale works, and I found three for sale through those links. A must-read for anyone looking to get into this business.

Learn about how to start a laundromat startup business
Everyone needs clean clothes! The author offers tips on how to start a laundromat and also maintain it. This is a small business that you will find, in large cities and also in smaller ones too. Its a practical business to consider as a startup. If you've been thinking about starting your own laundromat, take a look at this book to see what the author has to say.

Painful to Read, Very Little Useful Content
This is the single-most poorly written book I have ever read. It says it was written by "Rebecca Wilson" but toward the end it says it was written by two people, and it is painfully obvious that neither spoke English as a first language. It is also very obvious that it was self-published and that they didn't bother to employ an editor. There are sentences that end with no period, commas are either absent altogether or occur every other word. Many times a sentence will end with "and etc." In addition to the atrocious grammar and misspelled words, there is absolutely no valuable information until page 49 where the book actually starts. Before that, it is full of anecdotal stories of the authors' first time visiting a laundromat as a child, the reasons for writing the book, the history of the business, an introduction that repeats things already covered, and a chapter on why you might want to enter the laundromat business. It has huge font, big spacing, and repeats itself to fill space. I read it in an hour or so. The outline (or lack thereof) is completely incoherent. There is no logical layout of where the book starts and ends and the same information is stated multiple times in different sections for no apparent reason. In spite of all of this, I was able to glean two or three tips that will enhance my business endeavor. I should make the place smell nice and make sure the outside is well-lit. Those two things made it worth the $8 and a two star rating instead of a one. I bought the book hoping to find a way to predict potential income for a new build and insightful tips on how to choose the right brand, size, and mix of machines based on the demographics of the area. There is none of this. There is, however, horribly generalized (and wrong in Montana) information on commercial leases that should be ignored. I'll be buying another book on the subject to get my questions answered. Here is a sentence (if you can call it that) from the book as an example of what I mean by "horribly written": "Either way, I consider both outcomes, the one you came to with our (there are two authors of this book - I'm just finishing it!), given our, words, the right one or the right one as yet to be!"

I loved this book
I loved this book! Not only did I learn about how to earn money from my own laundromat business, I learned a lot about the history of laundromat businesses. This was great because it showed me why a washeteria is a great investment, that is sure to give a great return. Definitely worth the purchase.

Not the best overview
I have been working to learn more about laundromats and buying a few books to learn what I can. This book would be one to take a pass on. As other reviewers have noted, the book needed an editor. At times the sentences are so convoluted that I am not sure what the author is trying to get across. Beyond that, I question the numbers that the author proposes when it comes to remodel costs, impact fees as well as cost for equipment. Finally, there are points in the book where the author goes off on a tangents. I think the author is trying to get across the point about adding services that might help produce income for the business but at times I also question if the author was writing a book about opening a coffee stand and was including information about the coffee business in this book just to add content. For an overview of the laundry business I am certain that other books will provide a better overview.
