2000 Watt Heavy Duty Step Up/Down Voltage Transformer Converter, 110/120/220/240 V, 5V USB Port

I bought 5000 a yr earlier then bought 2000 watts they were great. I didn't have any issue with this product. it run quite and heavy. I am planning buy more of them soon. Inspect your product before plug in. read manual carefully.

This transformer has been a life saver! It has effectively served its purpose for the last 3 years. I haven't even had to change the fuse yet. I use it for my Keurig coffee maker everyday and on occasion my Kitchenaid hand-mixer. Because I only have 1 outlet on that side of the kitchen, I have also used a coffee grinder with an EU plug with no issues. I think these devices definitely are worth the cost and hold their value. It is quite heavy and takes up a lot of space in your luggage, but it's worth every penny. Make sure that the model you purchase is specific to the country/region you are going to. The one I purchased has an adapter to plug from EU to US. I'm referring to the power supply cord in this instance.

Updated: Pros: Works as advertised, no ground loops on audio sensitive equipment, works with 50Hz devices just fine, 500W version is virtually silent. Cons: Produces a bit of heat (no more than expected, however), 2,000W version produces and audible hum in quiet environments. I now own two of these devices (a 500W and a 2,000W). I purchased the 500 Watt transformer to run a set of high-end Yamaha HS80m studio speaker monitors (which I purchased in Australia) in the USA after moving. The speakers required 160 Watts in total with 220v @ 50Hz, so I used this unit to step-up the voltage from the 110v US wall outlet. I was extremely impressed that there was no ground loop or hum present when using the speakers (studio quality monitors are VERY sensitive to interference and "ground loops" so noise and hum coming through the speakers is often a big concern for audiophiles). I had to use a ground loop isolator when running these back in Australia, but I don't use it any more because the transformer does a good enough job on its own of providing balanced power, thus avoiding the hum and crackle in the speakers. Also, despite my devices being 50Hz, they work just fine with no issues. I use the 2,000 Watt version to power my Sony 7.2 speaker Home Theater System (which required about 360 Watts, but also would be prone to boot-up spikes so I went with 2,000w instead of 1,000w to be safe). My only gripe with the 2,000 Watt unit is the subtle hum it gives on when running. It is not really noticeable unless the environment is quiet, but can be a bit distracting for me after all my devices are turned off. both units also produce a bit of heat (primarily from underneath the unit). This heat, however, is no more than expected, but for people wanting to use these on carpet I recommend buying a small ceramic tile from your local home improvement store (around $1 each) to sit this device on top to help dissipate the heat and to give you extra peace of mind.

After researching a lot I thought I had bought a good brand / unit. Now in Europe, when I went to use it for the first time it smelled, hummed, and clicked. I rechecked the online manual and reconfirmed that I had everything connected properly. When I tried again a few days ago it tripped my whole home. I called in an electrician to get the home up again and I then explained it occurred when I plugged in this unit. He then removed this unit’s cover and showed me that it was wired in such a way that the inside wires got too close to the transformer and caused the problem. He pushed the wires over under the cover and it stopped shorting my house circuit breaker, but it still hums and clicks under an extremely light load so is not useful. I wish I could return it or exchange it (assuming that the specific unit had a quality control issue) in practical fashion.

The Rockstone Power 2000 Watt Heavy Duty Step Up/Down did exactly like it describes and I want to thank the makers of this product, before i purchased it, i read which one to purchase on my needs, this one I bought for use with my coffee makers since it requires a 110 V, It is very easy to use, but 2 Cons to add to this, I believe they had it stored in mothballs, yeah it stinks of mothballs, but that will dissipate in time, second AMAZON shame on you the packaging was crap they stuffed Rockstone in the Amazon put one piece of packing paper in a big box, I am surprised that it came to me in one piece in the future please pay attention to packing items such as this. Besides the cons this item works great.

I recently had to move to Europe for work, and instead of replacing all of my kitchen appliances with 220v ones I figured I'd just buy a transformer to run them and replace them as they broke with time. I went with the 2000W converter because it would be able to run everything I had with a comfortable safety margin. The manufacturer recommends going 50% more than the continuous rated wattage, and the max wattage you'll see on US appliances is 1500 watts (The max a standard US wall outlet can output), but nothing I need to run needs 1500 watts continuous. So the 2000 watt converter is perfect for me. Its been running my stand mixer, sous vide immersion cooker, vacuum sealer, and more with no issues. It works perfectly for stepping your "normal" wall outlet power to another "normal" wall outlet power. Its just a simple transformer, after all.

Best converter, product received as describe no issue at all when using it. No problem in converting appliances from US. Been using it everyday and it has been a lifesaver. One thing to add, the whole experience was much easier because of their Customer Service. They assured me of the product and also when will the order arrived as i really need it urgently. And they even give a extra discount which was really pleasing, and how they approached was really a personal experience for me. Will definitely recommend any product from them.

Lo adquirí bajo la asunción que sería útil para colocarlo entre una toma de corriente residencial en Cd. México (110-120V) y activar una caminadora de uso rudo (220V). Desafortunadamente no logré el objetivo, quedándome con el convertidor de corriente sin uso... Será posible cambiarlo por otro producto?. Gracias.
