Not for beginners.
Ok information for the price of this quick read. However, the pages kept falling out and the information was a little dated for older software

Easy to follow
Great book if you are into step by step tutorial but no explanation. Would say that most steps made sense and didn’t need an explanation. Excellent resource and completed in just a few days working a couple hours a day.

First time using Excel Power Suite
Last year I bought the Power BI book from the same series, and now I bought the Excel Power Suite. Both uses the same data and have a step-by-step guide on a creation of a Dashboard. It was my first time using Power Query and Power Pivot, and I loved it! Easy to follow guides, packed with images, good for starters.

Great book to start
Great book to start either, Power Query and Power Pivot. This book show through step-by-step how to start using the Power Suite. I could build an entire Dashboard with no problem.

Great hands-on approach
As with the Power BI book in the series, this is a great way to get started right away building a dashboard. It helps you put a lot of the pieces together by this hands-on approach.I followed the instructions in each of these two books before taking an online course. It made the online courses much easier because I had a better idea of where the pieces fit and how to build the end product. With these two books, a couple of short online courses, and a project or two, I passed the two tests required for an MCSA in BI Reporting.

Waste of Money
This book did not live up to my expectation! I am a fairly experienced user of Excel and have used it for many years and created some complex dashboards using Slicers etc but have not really utilised the additional functionality of Power Query, Data Model and Power Pivot hence my reason for purchasing this book. For the price (£21.99 when purchased) I expected so much more from this book. All this book provides is a step by step walk through of how to build the dashboard that is shown on the cover of the book. This is presented as a series of instructions accompanied by black and white images. There are even a few errors in the formulas included in the instructions! There is no explanation of the logic behind what you are having to do and no explanation at all about what to do if your underlying data set(s) get updated and what impact this may have on the dashboard and how you need to update it. I'm sure I could figure this out but for the price charged there should be some explanation.
