Excellent food processor
I purchased a refurbished Cuisinart FP-13DSV Elemental 13 Cup Food Processor and I am very happy with the considerable savings on this very high quality product. I've only had the machine for a couple of months but have already become accustomed to using it for a variety of tasks.I use the large bowl to make pie dough, various types of hummus, and to slice and shred vegetables for salads and soups. I use the small bowl to chop nuts, mince garlic and ginger, make salad dressings and pestos. However, I'm still deciding whether or not the dicing attachment is worth the effort. I really wish the unit came with more than one dicing grate size; the one that comes with the kit is quite small. On the plus side, you can process chunks of vegetables very quickly and it is nice to end up with perfectly cubed bits, but I found I needed to stop and unstick debris on the dicing grate several times while processing. It comes with an attachment to push through bits stuck in the grate, but this downgrades the time-saving element. The dicer works especially well on onions and white potatoes, but hard vegetables, such as beets or sweet potatoes are really too much for this device; I will keep experimenting.All-in-all, having this wonderful machine has made cooking more efficient and enjoyable.

You’d better get you one!
This food processor is quite amazing. One thing I wanted to be able to do is shred my own cheeses, get away from bagged cheeses. This thing shreds cheese so quickly and beautifully! I mean, once you insert the cheese and start the machine the cheese shreds in just 2 seconds or less. Amazing! Of course I’ve used it for cabbage, sliced and chopped onions and other vegetables. Also to process meats for chicken salad, chilli etc. all very quickly and easy. I never saw a use for a food processor. I was wrong!! I will be using this a lot and it will be one of my helpful tools that will remain on my countertop. My dishwasher top rack takes care of the cleaning. Love it! Update! I bought this equipment on June 7, 2020. It died today while I was shredding cheese. The motor would spin but stopped when the small block of cheese was inserted. It has shredded cheese beautifully since I bought it. But now it’s trash. So not even 3 full years later I’ll need to buy another food processor. No more cuisinart for me though. Because of this early failure I can no longer recommend this item. Please disregard my earlier review. I no longer recommend it.

Perfect Processor
The value is off the chart. I am a vegan and I make mock meat which puts a strain on most food processors. This one is up to the task it move all over the counter. This machine has the perfect power for this task. I am still in awe the attachments are awesome crazy Yes… You will not fell this product is remanufactured. I add the additional warranty coverage. I got better coverage than if I bought new…. Don’t hesitate good as new…… If can for buy new if this isn’t available…..

Dicer difficult to clean
I bought this mostly because of the dicing attachment. It works great and is much more powerful than I expected. Squash and sweet potato diced much quicker than my knife work. But it is very difficult to clean. There is a tiny groove where food gets stuck in the blade. I had to use a toothbrush to get the food out. This was a refurbished product, but everything was packed like new. There are a bit too many safety features in my opinion, and it won't power on unless everything is aligned perfectly.

Powerful, versatile & affordable food processor
After my VERY expensive Kitchen Aid food processor seized up, I began to search for a more affordable option. I came across this Cuisinart, refurbished one. It got excellent reviews, and I decided for under $100.00 I had nothing to lose. I'm not sure what constitutes a "Refurbished" appliance, but when this arrived it was in the original box, nothing looked like it had ever been unpacked. I carefully took it apart & washed it by hand. BEWARE !! the blades are VERY sharp. This food processor in my opinion is actually more powerful than my Kitchen Aid. It has a beautiful boxed case to store all the blades too. They also provide a detailed owners manual with recipes. It's done a great job making riced cauliflower, breadcrumbs, grated hard cheese, pesto sauce with my garden basil. Whatever I throw at it, it does a fantastic job. Very happy with my purchase I highly recommend the Cuisinart over Kitchen Aid.

SAVE YOUR MONEY
Don't buy this, it's a piece of junk. I was so excited to order this food processor, it was to replace my 22-year old Cuisinart food processor. The unit looks impressive with it's dark grey finish, but it's cheap plastic and very lightweight. The accessory storage box is a nice touch, but pretty bulky to leave out on your counter. Anyway, yesterday was the first day I used it to slice vegetables. It jammed up and made a loud noise from the motor so I stopped the vegetable slicing. Then I used the small bowl to chop parsley and the small blade wouldn't turn fast enough to chop it. Today I followed the included cookbook recipe for pizza dough. The dough shaft won't turn, can't mix or knead. I will be returning this useless thing. thank God that Amazon will give my money back but I'll have to eat crow and ask my daughter-in-law to give me back my old one.

First true "Cuisinart" I have owned and it's by far the best food processor I have had.
I have owned other brands of food processors even though Cuisinart is, in my mind, synonymous with that kitchen gadget. This is my first Cuisinart brand food processor and I am impressed. It's easier to clean than the other one I owned. I can see that the design is much less likely to create a situation that happened with my other brand where the spinning portion ended up stripped. I also really love the dicing feature, which I was 100% skeptical of. I thought it would be total junk and I wouldn't bother with it but it's a wonderful feature and I now use it all the time.
