When i plug the pin part into my boefeng uv 5r it starts to transmit is the spose to happen ?

Confirmed James Lummel's solution. Disabling power management for the "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port" solves the transmit problem. 1. In Device Manager, double click "Ports (COM & LPT)" 2. Double click "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port" then click the "Power Management" tab. 3. Uncheck all the options then click OK.

Does the software work with Mac
