Great for my pup's sensitive tummy
This food is wonderful but beware it might be shelf pulls as every single can I received (24) had damage - the product inside was not affected thankfully. I have a Chinese Crested Hairless Chihuahua mix who began suffering with bouts of pancreatitis several years ago. After many flare-ups trying different foods over the course of a year, the vet suggested Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach specifically. It is a good source of protein with low fat which is crucial for a dog with this condition. It is the only food his tummy will tolerate and he's gone from the 3 to 4 flare ups that first year to just 1 flare-up in the past two years. He gets zero table scraps, home made treats occasionally, a daily probiotic and Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach Salmon wet food (his tummy will not process the dry) and he's doing absolutely great!!

No more vomit comet!!!
My dog is a 12lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix with a sensitive stomach and tendency to turn in to a vomit comet if not on a strict diet. When we moved in with my parents after a nasty divorce (who have a Bassett and a Shorkie), Tango’s dinner schedule cake with the introduction of wet food. He has not had wet food in his regular diet before. At the time, my mom was using Alpo wet food for her pups. Tango started to get sick more frequently. At first I thought it was the abundance of treats, but once we started restricting his diet, it was clear that the wet food was the problem as his dry food is a specialty salmon and rice formula that he’s been on for awhile with no issues. So we replaced the Alpo with this wet food. Such a difference in his digestion! No more frequent episodes of puking. No more uncomfortable tummy aches. We’ve even been able to reintroduce treats back in to his diet. We also switched my mom’s dogs to the same wet food. My mom’s Shorkie has severe allergies and we’ve noticed some of her skin issues clearing up after switching her wet food. It’s a little more pricey- on average $1.80 per can- but it’s worth the price if your pet has a sensitive tummy.

Great For My Dog with Skin Issues
Before you ask, YES, I have taken my dog to the vet half a dozen times and have been told every time that he simply has allergies. My Puggle has had on-going skin issues (the people who owned him for the first seven years fed him low quality crap dog food). I tried a ton of different high priced limited ingredient foods. Some seemed to work for a while but his itchy belly always returned. I even tried to go raw but the price is insane (I have two dogs).I decided to try the Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach despite not being a huge fan of Purina. My dog loves this food. I feed him this and mix 1.5 teaspoons of Missing Link Skin and Coat. He still has some itchiness but not NEARLY as much. And his chronic ear infections have been cut in half.My only issue with it is I'm not comfortable with the fact that Purina sources some of their "additives" from China. I have to keep my eyes peeled for recalls, which I am.

Dogs love it, low fat at 5%, and high protein.
I have a great dane that anytime she gets too much fat in her diet she goes right into pancreatitis. She gets unlimited food 24/7, but just a grazer, not a big eater. She started losing too much weight with the low fat food. She was down to 85lbs for a dog that is supposed to be over 100lbs. Another issue is, she's 11 years old, and that is GREAT for a dane. So I kept her on the low fat food and figured the only way to get weight on her is with protein. I supplemented her diet with this canned food at 5% fat which her prescription diet food is the same percentage. But it had much higher content of protein than her prescription diet. IT WORKED!! She loves it. She looks better than she has in months. Energy level up higher than in months too, and anyone that knows Danes, knows their couch potatoes, she was back to running in the backyard yesterday. I couldn't be happier. Only problem I had is the new batch of cans I just got had dents in the whole one side, I will be dealing with Amazon about that.

Reformulation, Price Increase & Unavailability
My 11.5 yr old pit has had tummy majority of her life. Our vet recommended this line and it’s been the only food to work for her tummy. She’s been eating it for well over five years now. The past several months it’s been extremely hard to find. Out of stock everywhere and if you do find it its $5 more a 12 pack then it used to be. Come to find out the ingredient list and macronutrients have changed (new is less calorically dense). Salmon is now lower on the list with “fish” being higher. They’ve added liver (above salmon) and oatmeal! Pieces of carrot are gone. Yet Purina is still advertising it as the same thing. So we’re paying more for a lower quality product. This is extremely deceptive. Not to mention dangerous being that it’s made for dogs with health issues/food sensitivities. New reviews on their website mention dogs getting diarrhea from it. Extremely disappointed in Purina.

My finicky rescue dog Loves it!
We had been using Purina Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin and Stomach dry dog food for our 10 yr. old rescue dog and he loved it and it cured his itchy skin issues. I recently had to buy the canned food for sensitive skin and stomach for our little dog as he developed medical issues (non related to his diet) and he had to have soft foods so I bought a case of Purina Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin and Stomach canned food for him not really sure if he would eat it but he actually loved it! He's very finicky about food so I was really happy he was able to enjoy eating this soft/canned food. He's a happy dog and I'm a happy dog mom.
