Yakuza spinoff.
Judgement, love this game and Judgement 2. Made as the yakuza spinoff it has a near equal footing with yakuza (kiryu) great gameplay .

Great Game
Judgement is a great game and set in the same fictional world as Yakuza series. The game story and play are top notch. If you played Yakuza then this game is a must. A must buy PlayStation 4 game.

Wow!
I've never played a Yakuza game before but this spinoff caught my attention. Fantastic game so far with a thrilling story that keeps you in suspense. Combat is fluid and can also be chaallenging at times. Will definitely be buying the sequel Lost Judgment in September.

I must be playing a different game
I've had this on the shelf for a while (seems to be a pattern with me and games) but when I saw that Lost Judgment was being released I thought it was beyond time that I put my leather coat and jeans on and got back to KamurochoWish I'd left it on the shelfBeing a big fan of the Yakuza series, they basically break down into 2 major hooks that will get you involved in the games: in no particular order they are combat and plot (yes the sub stories and mini games are great and will occupy hours of your time but those aren't what you pick the game up for initially)Combat: 2 really bad styles of kung-fu. One is to get punched in the face while fighting groups of people and the other is to get punched in the face while fighting one on oneOne thing that annoys me with any game is if the AI can do things that you cannot do as a player - in this case dodging and blocking, the AI can suddenly do this while you are mid combo but if you are attacked you have to wait until they are finished, which I find infuriating (to be fair dodging has always been pants in this series)Now the combat has never been revolutionary in these games but they have always been fun- when using Kiryu with his multi-style you get to play with various methods of butt kicking or in the later games a well rounded way of doing the same thing - then on top of that you have the heat actions which were an absolute joy to unleash, whereas in this game, even after upgrading the character, I found myself praying for the triangle symbol to appear so I could end the tedium of the brawls - well at least there's the plotPlot: God this game is boring. Some Yakuza games open great (Zero) some take a while to get going (Song of life) but regardless of pacing they are enormously entertaining and if you get into them you will be hooked. This one is crap - I do not care about a single character in this gameIn conclusion: after hours of forcing myself to play this, hoping it would suddenly become interesting like the other much better games in the series, I asked myself a simple question - what the f am I playing this for if it's boring and rubbish?

Good but I feel like it's missed opportunity
This is good game plenty to do and has everything I want in a game especially going into detective gameplay but it just feels it never really nails these mechanics like la noire did the investigating is so basic hover over area press X to examine closer, following people is good at times but again it's glitchy and stupid at times, case's are fun and laugh but like most of game it's rinse and repeat go over here talk go over here fight case done. Friends system is great and fighting ace of frustrating at times but overall get this 15-20 it's bargain but it's very repetitive the more you play, way to much talking as well and feel like missed opportunity it could have been great.

Absolutely worth it.
An amazing game. The storytelling and characters are incredibly written, and exploring Kamurocho is as fun as ever. I seriously recommend this to players who enjoyed the Yakuza series, and want to play something similar. Pays a lot of homage to the game series, and is an excellent alternate story for Yakuza lovers, and rpg lovers.
