Great Sturdy Table for the Price - Easy to Assemble
This product is much better than I expected. It is sturdy and easy to assemble. It is a little darker than our other Mission Furniture, but that isn't that important. We need to small end night tables for a tight bedroom space. I am buying another one after seeing the overall quality of this table. The styrofoam in the packaging is annoying.

High quality table.
We purchased this table to sit by a chair. We already had two end tables, coffee table, sofa table, and another chair side table by Leick, Mission style, that we purchased about 3 years ago. The new table matched perfectly, same sturdy solid wood with great finish. Thanks

Stain is uneven and detracts from appeal.
Tables are sturdy, heavy and the mission shape is nice. But touch-up sanding is crude in places, especially the side slats where extra wood is worn away, and the stain, which I'm sure is sprayed on, looks it. It's uneven and blochy. The thin final finish coat makes the wood look cheap - and it is real solid oak. I added 2 coats of tung oil rubbed finish for a richer look and to help gloss over the stain imperfections. All said, the tables are reasonably nice looking with quality materials.

Easy assembly
The only problem I have is there are the gaps where the lower shelf fit against the legs. With the Allen head screws tightened thoroughly there's a 1/16" gap where the pieces don't come together.

OK for the price but overpriced for the quality, if that makes sense.
OK for the price but overpriced for the quality, if that makes sense.First don't expect too much. The are nice, they look OK if you don't looks too closely or are not too fussy.I do have hand made mission furniture and I needed some accent pieces for next to chairs. These are no match for the $800 night stands I have. But they were not $800 either. Though you can't find anything close for less, I don't think these are worth the price. So I'm pleased to not have spent $1600 for two side tables, but they could have done just a little better job overall with quality.Staining and wood is mostly finished only on areas that "show" and inconsistent overall. Drawer sliders are the cheapest I've seen in years and not what I would expect at this price. IKEA is like 10X better on hardware to give you an idea. The drawers on both units are not square so that when closed one side sticks out farther than the other 1/4 to 1/2 inch. It looks OK next to my chairs and really the only thing you can really see is top and the front, so it really does not matter about the finish in other areas. I'll never use the drawers so it really does not matter that the sliders are so cheap. So if you like the looks and don't want to spend $800 for top quality, these will work just fine and look just fine. This is not something to pass down to your kids.

A nice pice of furniture
Solid wood, no chipboard. The top and the legs are solid pieces of wood but some of the sides and shelf are plywood with veneer (nothing you would notice once assembled). I agree with an earlier review that the finish was a bit more reddish than medium-Oak, but we liked it. Assembly was fairly easy, just 4 bolts each to attach the sides and then 4 more for the shelf. The top already has the fully assembled drawer (which slides very smoothly) attached. Understandably for a 12' wide table, the drawer is very narrow and will hold nothing more then a TV remote or two. They include an Allen wrench and no other tools are needed. Assembly took my arthritic hands no more than 10 minutes or so each.We had earlier ordered the wider side table and there were a few minor issues, which precluded 5 stars: One of the anchor screws was loose and I had to fill in the hole it was screwed into so it would hold. Each of the feet had a small plastic foot attached and there was a very slight wobble, so I had to get a new set of shoes. Nothing that prevented me from ordering more from this manufacturer. These tables had no such issues and I am giving them the full 5 stars. If you order any of the matching wider side tables, note that while the finish is a perfect match, these tables are 1" higher.Overall I liked the piece, it's look, the price and the general solidness of the construction. They arrived very quickly, only three days after I ordered them (even though the Amazon website was still telling me they were being prepared for shipment)
