Beeswax and jojoba oil have antibacterial properties that help keep your food fresh and allow each package to be used over and over again. Just wash with soap in cold water and then hang to dry. Do you need to add for beeswax after awhile?** A: Honestly, I haven't found them to be all that sticky at any time. When warmed by your hands, they feel a little tacky and do mold to a dish pretty well, but this is no plastic wrap type seal - it is more akin to aluminum foil. That said, we use them all the time and have been generally happy. **Q: where is product made?** A: All of our wraps are made, packaged, and shipped out from our workshop in Middlebury, VT. **Q: I just got the item and it has a really strong oder, something similar to propolis. Is it going to go away?** A: I do not recall noticing an odor. Perhaps that is because I immediately washed the wraps since I would want anything that was going to wrap food to be freshly washed. **Q: All my sandwiches smell like bee’s wax now. Does the smell go away eventually?** A: You are most likely smelling the beeswax, which often smells like the flowers from which the bees harvested pollen. The scent can change from season to season and sometimes can be more noticeable or potent. I would encourage you to wash the wrap a few times (in cold water), as the scent will lessen and then disappear altogether.
