In my two decades of deer hunting, I've experimented with many "cover scents" to keep me as undetectable as possible in the tree. These fresh earth wafers are the only thing I continue to buy consistently. I always keep a few in the totes where I store my clothes between hunts, allowing the scent to permeate the fabric all season long. I also typically pin a wafer to my hat whenever I hit the woods. I've had countless deer over the years linger right beneath my stand or bed downwind within bow range. And besides effectively masking my stink, the fresh earth scent does not cause bucks or does any alarm. (Not always the case with deer pee or certain vanilla scents I've tried.) Of course I also shower/launder with scent-free products and spray down my boots with field spray before each hunt, but I attribute much of my hunting success and many years of up-close encounters with deer to these affordable, easy-to-use wafers.

These things work great - at least, they sure smell like dirt to ME. Do deer/elk agree? Impossible to say, but they sure don't hurt. My only complaint is they're SO smelly the odor literally goes straight through the container, making them hard to store. I've got my pouch in two freezer bags and it STILL stunk up an entire storage bin.Honestly, these things are so strong I almost feel like you don't even need to carry them. You could get a big storage bin, put a wafer and your hike/hunt clothes in there, and let them marinate for a few weeks and probably get the same effect...

I put the fresh earth sent in my scent free bag that holds my deer hunting equipment and clothes about a month before season. One wafer and my entire set up smells just like just turned garden dirt. Extremely happy with the product. I’ve used it two years now and had deer walk within 5 yards of me 3 times. Both in a canvas ground blind. Will definitely buy again.

I've had all kinds of game walk right underneath me using just one of these pine scent wafers pinned to my hat. I'd say it works great and I would definitely recommend to mask your scent.I'm think odor masking works better than odor elimination products in my experience. Using both is the best option, but if I had to choose one I'd go with these wafers.

These are the best. Just make sure you put them in a dedicated bag for hunting clothes. If you use your bag for other things, whatever you put in there will smell like dirt.

My son gave me an older pack to try and I really liked it. Put it in with my hunting clothes in a plastic tote and it really smelled strong. Based on that I order two new ones, I found that the new ones are not near as strong as the originals. Have read that mfg was moved to China recently and that seems to have affected the quality

I decided to give these a try this hunting season. They have a very strong scent when first opened. Really does smell like fresh earth. I have tried the field spray style before and didn't have any success. This year so far I have had a lot of animals come within 20 - 30 yards so I'm going to say that the scent wafers are worth the purchase. I believe that I will purchase more for next year.
