Cuts very well, and nice compact size for backpack storage.

I had seen these used to cut branches out of trees high off the ground. (Adding para-cord to the handles to extend the reach. In the video, it takes about 10 seconds to cut a nine inch branch, 18 foot off the ground. In reality, it took me and my son, several minutes to get it to work right from the ground. Don't get me wrong, it does work, and I saved a bunch of money using it, and I DO RECOMMEND it.

Well, after I bought this I realized I had purchased the Lite and was worried I was going to get a girly-man saw.. not the case with this.The only difference I believe is the fact that the "LITE" does not come with a carrying pouch, which is no big deal, but for me it would have been nice to have and I will have to find an alternative method for storage of this one-of-a-kind tool.And for all those people who say this tool binds too much, grow a set...and make sure you're using the correct side for the saw-teeth..girly-men.Would have given 5-stars, if product came with care/maintenance guide for proper sharpening when thetime comes for that. Also, if amazon would had specified better that this is the tree-huggers edition with "minimal packaging."

It would bind up in the tree branch. Could not cut the branch at all.

This saw, when used correctly, cuts wood like a hot knife through butter. It is tiring to use as others have said so for me it will be a backup to my folding saw. The lack of a durable case was not an issue for me (it does come with a heavy-duty Zip-Lock type bag) as I had a spare zippered eyeglass case that it fit into perfectly.

Can be used with one or two people. More efficiently with 2 people to get a deeper cut into fresh wood. Easier to transport than axe or conventional saws and super light.

First of all, this is the Sabercut LITE!Second, it zips through both hardwood and softwood easily and quickly, and will fold up small enough to fit anywhere in a pack. A perfect backup saw for anyone who camps, hikes, hunts, fishes, or spends any length of time in the woods.

Not bad but it doesn't come with a carrying case,which it really needs

Not bad. About half the price of some others on the market. It's for the bug out bag and hopefully won't get used much except on the odd camping excursion. Won't take up much space, so you should have one.

This worked out great! Took it backpacking for a weekend and this made our lives easier getting fire wood. Works great once you get the hang of it. The handles are much sturdier sturdier than I expected.
