I have bridges and crowns in my mouth, so I worry about crunching very hard foods. I first bought these at a travel store in an airport because I love almonds! These are heirloom almonds as well so no GMO concerns. I researched them a little after I returned home. These are healthy and so much better for me than the California almonds. Don't get me wrong-I have lived in California for seven years. I enjoy the fresh local fruits and vegetables. Since I have discovered these, I won't be buying the others even though they are a bit pricey.

These almonds are very small, but tasty.

I tried these and something didn't taste quite right. I gave them a sniff, and could tell right away they had started to turn rancid. The expiration date was June 2023, so not sure if they had been stored in a hot warehouse, or what.I contacted customer service, and they were very apologetic, and quickly sent me a replacement package. So customer service gets an A+. The 2nd package was much better. It has a September 2023 expiration, and it tastes fine. They are lightly salted, which actually is what I prefer.These are a bit more expensive than what you'd pick up at the local grocery store, but looking at the information card (image attached) that was included with the replacement shipment, they are a socially conscious company which sources nuts grown without pesticides or chemicals, which I'm sure accounts for much of the cost difference.Except for the first bad bag, these would have been 5 stars. But they were very good about quickly sending a replacement, so they get a solid 4 stars.

I heard about these almonds from a gourmet foodie site. I had Afghanistan almonds years ago and found them to be far superior in taste and flavor than any I had eaten before. Sadly these are not anything to rave about. While I completely support Ziba foods mission to assist the population of that war torn country I think they need to re-assess the product quality. They were stale and not uniform in size or quality and just plain not tasty. The bag expiration date was 1 June 2023 and the bag was still sealed. No idea why these were not good.

These nuts are very small. The taste is like a raw almond.
