I’ve been taking Banyan’s Triphala supplement for a while now, and I’m impressed with the quality. The capsules are easy to take, and they’re made with organic, sustainably sourced ingredients. Within a couple of weeks, I noticed better digestion and an overall feeling of lightness and balance. It feels gentle on the system yet very effective. I will be a lifelong user of this stuff. I developed gallstones after my 2nd pregnancy & kept being told I would have to remove my gallbladder to be comfortable again. I was determined to keep it and tried everything from gallstone flushes, apple cider vinegar, lemon water, other supplements, coca cola etc. Coffee enemas helped expedite the healing & I will continue to do them, but this stuff changed it all for me and is the reason I can eat eggs (yolk) again, which caused the worst attacks for me. I take 2 every night and can eat completely normal (any food) and have not had an attack of any sort, since (and has kept me regular). I'm not kidding when I say I will take this for life. Thanks, Banyan Botanicals! Update Sept 2019: Almost a year later and still working for me. I have even slowed done how frequently I take them. Which I did then start to feel like I had a slowing of my digestive tract for the first time in a year (and started taking more Triphala again but still didn’t see my normal results) and so it was suggested to temporarily switch out Triphala for Amalaki, which apparently sometimes can be necessary with the changes of season. The amalaki helped within a week. SO, point being, if you feel like the Triphala starts to lose its effectiveness, maybe try switching to Amalaki for a bit (I also stuck to Banyan brand for that). After going through a bottle of Amalaki, I’m back to Triphala now and is working per usual again. Update Oct 2020: Still using, still no gallstone returns. 2 per day (sometimes missing days). Occasionally will increase frequency intake if I have been on holiday or feeling heavy in my digestive tract. Will continue to use. Update 2022: Yup, still using. No issues with gallbladder. Pretty much the only thing I do for health maintenance with gallbladder/digestive tract, aside from pre&probiotics.

This is one of my favorite supplements and we consider it a sort of secret weapon. I started taking Triphala about 15 years ago, as a substitute for habit forming teas or the disgusting salt water flush while doing Master Cleanser cycles of up to 21 days. It worked like a charm, and always does for us. No cramping, no sudden dashes for the loo, just a productive morning when taken before bedtime. I have taken a few brands but honestly I notice a difference in efficacy when taking Banyan's triphala. I have taken quite a few of their herbal blends, and I love their oils and balms as well, just a lovely company overall. I also finally convinced my father to try this after battling terrible constipation his entire life, which docs just basically gave up on other than suggesting surgery. Well, like me, he's not a surgery guy unless it's life or death, so he just suffered with this since childhood but I finally managed to get him to try this, after he reported no change whatsoever from a Triphala tea he tried. I explained that the tea was likely not strong enough and he should try these. He did, and sheepishly reported the very next day that he had a normal, comfortable bowel movement! He now swears by this and wishes he had tried it sooner, and do so I. Better late than never, but this is something I recommend everyone either take as a regular supplement or keep on hand for when things are just not moving.

I've been using Triphala by Banyan for about 6 months now, as prescribed by my Ayurvedic Practitioner, which is one tablet before bed (two tabs, if I feel inclined to do so). Like most alternative medicine, Triphala is no "magic" pill that will "fix" people's ailments overnight. Instead, it takes time and consistency to be effective, in combination with the fact that each person has a different constitution AND way of living (eating and general health) that may effect results. For me, I no longer struggle with constipation; to be specific without being gross, Triphala has made elimination so easy and normal and *complete!* that I seriously feel like I have lost garbage weight just by having effective elimination every day. In addition, Triphala seems to help with mental clarity and a good night's rest. Triphala may cause vivid dreams for some people for about the first week or two of taking -this is normal and harmless. It happened to me; they weren't nightmares --they were trippy, vivid dreams, like a movie all night. This stopped after about a week for me. My mother who is 65 and has diabetes and high blood pressure began taking Triphala for constipation and she swears by it now. She takes two pills before bed. She even tries giving it away as gifts to people because of how much it has changed her life; she use to call the bathroom the "torcher chamber" because of constipation.

My husband takes these while he is fasting and he likes them very much. He says they are great for curbing his appetite, they have organic/Ayurvedic ingredients that help his digestion (which he’s a big fan of) and the price is right for him.

These seem to work ok. Decent results. Not every day regular, but they do help. Nice and small pills.
