Nordic Essentials Beach Socks (1 Pair) Wear in Sand, Playing Volleyball & Soccer - Kids, Women & Men - 1 Year Warranty

I have a rare disease called Solar Urticaria, which means I am allergic to ultraviolet radiation(UV light). I have to cover myself from head to toe in UPF 50+ clothing to be able to go outside which means I wear these socks every single day to go shopping, school, work and everywhere that isn't home.I absolutely love these socks and I have had plenty of other brand sand socks. Most beach socks have neoprene soles which is great except incredibly slippery on some surfaces. These however have a bit of grip or texture to their neoprene sole and I can walk on tile and linoleum no problem. I also like this fancy Velcro. Velcro on other beach socks will stick to the Lycra material and can rip holes in the fabric rendering it useless. These socks have, what I can only assume is some space age Velcro, because it doesn't stick to the Lycra, it will however stick to the stitching and hemline, but none-the-less a huge improvement. They also are very comfy and I even wear them as normal socks inside my shoe.I have yet to have any problems with the UV breaching the fabric, so I would definitely vouch for its ability to protect your skin!Sizing was also perfect when it arrived. The sizing chart is off: that's my only complaint. A women's size 8 is a Small in this beach sock, not a Medium. I got a medium and passed them to a friend with a 9.5 foot instead of bothering to return them. Bought myself a Small & it's good. A ladies 9 would be a Medium. 8.5 is tough - could fit a Medium if the foot is wide or you don't want a snug fit. Other than the sizing being off, the sock is nice. Adjustable Velcro at the ankle, good grip on bottom of foot, very light material and great at protecting feet from scorching sand and sharp rocks.

These are exactly as described but the sizing should probably be adjusted for accuracy, as I wear a womens sz 7 in shoes and had to order the XS which is still slightly loose on my feet. Luckily the straps above the ankle keep them in place. Got one for my husband also who wears a shoe size of 11, and I got the size Medium for him which he says fit perfectly. We walked around over slippery and rocky tidepools with our kids and not once did either of us slip up or fall. The bottoms grip well without slipping and they are comfortable enough to walk in for a long period of time. I like that they aren't so bulky and so it's easier to feel what you're walking on and much easier to get around in. The straps up top make it so that the sand is unlikely to get in also which is another reason for discomfort wearing water socks. Overall I'm very happy with our purchase and would highly recommend these.

I got a pair for each kid and myself to wear at the local park with a sand volleyball court. The sand was freezing our feet (and would burn our feet in summer), but these socks work well to protect the feet from temperatures and coarser sand that would be rough to play volleyball in.

After only two months they developed holes in both socks. Socks were used in an indoor pool for water therapy. I continued to use for another month until the holes got too big and through both the outer layer of the bottom of the sock and the inner spandex layer.

I purchased the xs for my two kids aged 6-9. The socks are still a bit big in the heel for them but it didn't really bother them. They could still run around on the beach and wade in the water with these socks. Wearing these socks are better than going bare feet if you have beaches that have dusty sand and little rocks mixed with sand on the beach. Thinking of picking up a pair for myself since I find dusty sand to be a bit uncomfortable!

Right now I use it inside like house shoes, but soon I will test it in the beach.OK. I test this in the Florida beach, in very hot day 4th of July. The hot sand and a street do not was too hot for my feet. I easy access in to water a sand what stick on the wet socks was gone when I finally was back in car. Socks was dry and ready to use for shoes. I already purchased other pair, different color. I am happy with my purchase.

Run little big in size and then stretch out quick, i use these as water socks in a wrestling shoe for riding Jetski.The Velcro is weak and sand still gets in my feet pretty easily and after 5 days now there pretty worn.Velcro is just about torn off.Love the concept and may try a smaller size to see if they work better
