Anywhere Garden Torch - Stainless Steel Cone Shape Garden Torch (2 pack)

I purchased these a while ago thinking the stainless steel would be great for my particular climate (near the Pacific Ocean). I have found that these torches are not a good as I had hoped. They are extremely weak on the post where they are connected i.e. where you screw the two poles together. I purchased a number of them and three experienced breakage at this junction. I have also noted some rusting which I thought would not occur if these were 100% stainless steel. When new, they do look nice and I suppose if you took great care pushing them into soft soil the pole might not break as mine did. Simply stated, could be much stronger at this connection and no parts should rust. Not sure I would purchase these exact torches again.

Carefully read the product details and measurements. They are as tall as I expected, but the torch itself is much smaller than I thought it would be. Shame on me for not paying closer attention to the description. Other than that, they are sturdy and well built. There is a nice point on the end of the pole so dirt doesn't get stuck up inside when you install it, making for easy cleaning when storing. These will store nicely over the winter in my original box. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend this product.

Barks came partially open. Both chains were broken. The head of one torch was dented in two places. Refill hole is way too small. The included and usable small funnel is not ribbed on the outside making it difficult to use. Flame is half the size of tiki brand torch flames. I did not realize that the the pole came in for sections as opposed to one solid piece. Biggest overall flies being a small retail home and small flame.

We really like the look of these torches. They are quite contemporary and look great in our backyard. I think they are a good value for the price. My only complaint about them is that the poles are a little flimsy. They are sturdy enough and work great if you get them in the ground on the first try, but I had one that hit a rock going into the ground, and the pole bent quite easily. We had to discard the bottom half of that pole, and can't really use that torch anymore. We had a problem with a couple of the wicks not working, but the company very quickly sent us new wicks, and the torches work great now. They had a very good, quick customer service turn-around, not only in replying to my message to them, but also in shipping us replacement wicks. I would definitely recommend the torches and the company.

Torches are a little flimsy if not careful with installation, but serve their purpose well. They come with no instructions, so some common sense is required to set up. Insert the bottom of the two pieces into the ground first, then attach the top one. If you don't follow this order, the attaching screw to the top will bend. The cap must be pushed down first before unscrewing. Fill with desired fluid using a funnel that is held with the tip slightly above the opening to avoid bubbling from air coming out of the container as the fluid fills it. Allow about two minutes for the wick to fully absorb the liquid. Light with a match or similar utensil. The flame will settle after a few minutes of either burning too much or barely flickering. Over time, you will figure out how long you like the wick. We filled ours with citronelle type fuel and it really works well at keeping mosquitoes away. I am thinking of getting more, they are worth every penny and they look great.

I bought these five years ago and they're still going strong. I don't even bring them in in the winter...they're still in the same spot I plunked them when I bought them back in 2010. The only thing I would change is that there is not a way to tell when they're full.

They look nice but for how long says stainless steel but a magnet sticks to them so they will rust. They are real thin an cheaply made they screw together and are real flimsy I don't recommend these at all
