I had a dishwasher door that wouldn't stay fully open for loading, and hoped that these friction pads would solve the problem. When I went to install them, one side's pad was missing, so I replaced it with one of these. The door now is better than before, but still doesn't stay fully open and flat unless the bottom tray is pulled out and has some dishes in it. I don't know if the issue is with something else in my dishwasher, or if the friction pads are not quite the same spec as the original ones. For the paltry cost, I'm not complaining.

You'll become a pro swapping these things off the door arm as, and this is true of OEM or off-brand parts, they break often. The repair takes about fifteen minutes, it's no sweat and these work as expected. The two pack is nice, you can keep the spare in the technician packet so you can find it when you need to fix it (yet again). Shame on Whirlpool for such a cheap design.

Easy install and fit perfectly.

At first the door was too tight and squeaked, but after a couple of weeks it is just fine. Time will tell if the rubber is heat and grease proof.

Original part was thin and flimsy compared to this part. Easy for this senior gal to fix. Definitely put in hot water to make it more flexible and easy to install.

time will tell how long they last. been about 3 months so far. and so far so good.I cant say if these are better than the whirlpool brand or not. However, I replaced the one broken one I had on the door and now my door doesn't fall open any more or lift up from the spring tension when the door is all the way open. Yes they are a harder material. And yes they take a lot of force to slide on but it works. I did heat mine up in a glass of hot water first. I also had to use a flat blade screwdriver to lever it into place.
