Great children’s book series - one of my favorites, but probably tough for a 3 year old to understand and there are a couple of scary parts with the owl taking nutkins tail…overall great illustrations and message for children - thank you!

A classic
Beatrix Potter was a brilliant naturalist. Her watercolors are delicate and detailed, and absolutely stunning.Squirrel Nutkin is quite the naughty rambunctious boy and I can’t help but think his punishment was too extreme.

Such a fun read with my 5 year old son! Frequently requested as a read out loud but make sure to use a very impertinent voice for Nutkin.

Beatrix Potter's books are ALWAYS current and delightful for children.
Exactly what I expected from Beatrix Potter. I've read her books for more years than I care to admit. Her books are ALWAYS entertaining. As achild I loved them; as an adult they were read to my children; as a Gram they were read to my Grandchildren, as a Great Gram I hope to read them to my Great Grands. They are never fail entertainment! Young or Old, always worthwhile.

all good
Given to my great-niece for her BD, she turned two yrs old. I gave it so my niece (her mother) would read to my great-niece to give her a love for reading, like I have and my Mother, and other family members as well. It's never too early to start reading, and these children's book are marvelous.

you have to love Beatrix Potter
this one is for the older kids. My daughter doesn't quite seem able to understand the insolence and disrespect. But it explains a familiar character in the BP books and it'll someday hopefully be the basis of some good conversations.
