Definitely get these and use them.
These traps are great due to the inbuilt lure that impregnates them. Our exterminator had generic traps with NO lure and his traps caught little or nothing while these traps caught 2-3 bugs EACH per week. You should use these as a telltale with another method of control such as Thermal Treatment of PROFESSIONAL chemical spraying. We were declared bug-free after 2 heat treatments and 5 spray sessions. We also got rid of perhaps 4000 lbs. of personal possessions and 80 contractor bafs woth of stuff.Bed bug eradication is stressful and difficult, BUT it can be done. Dry all clothes, curtains and wall hangings on HIGH heat for 60 minutes and then bag them (preferable with 3-mil contractor bags. You will need to live out of bags for weeks while the process proceeds. Be very careful not to cross-contaminate. You may need to get rid of some furniture AND definitely buy bed bug encasements for your mattress, box spring and pillows. This can all get expensive but it MUST be done. These traps will definitely help as the population of bugs decreases as each bug caught cannot breed. They are designed to give off the lure for three months and then replaced. I used them this way so I cannot say if this is just marketing to get you to buy more or if it really does wear off as stated. You may be able to push them 4-5 months but, like I say, I haven't tried it.Each pack holds 2 traps which should be cut in half to yield 4 traps per box. Thus 6 packs gives you 24 traps. We used 12 in the bedroom and 12 in the living room. Place them right up next to the walls where the bugs run. You can also place them next to the legs of your bed (but we didn't catch any that way).Good luck! All in all, a GREAT and effective product.

Will NOT detect bedbugs.
this does NOT detect or catch bedbugs. I had bedbugs in a previous apartment, and was concerned about them resurfacing so I got this as a early-detection measure.DID NOT WORK - I found out I had bedbugs again when I had bites and saw one sauntering across my headboard. I rechecked the traps and there were zero bedbugs in there.I guess if you have enough of an infestation one could accidentally end up in there....

Just in case purchase.
I just bought this and put it in the utility closet as a precautionary measure should a neighbor ever report them. I have not actually used the product.

this is how traps worked for me and I have sucess PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!
I bought these for a good review and I used them. Somebody tracked these things in my house and they spread unbelievable. .so back to product I tore top off and used a steamer under funiture and a simple hairdryer to get them running and used the ptoduct to dab on them with hand THATS ALL THERE GOOD FOR SORRY but hairdryer works unbelievable I have not read about this yet and it was just a idea with something everybody has so cost are kept down...dont worry about lot of work lay hairdryer up under and just wait for them to appear and use these ussless traps with hand or a duct tape method to grab them out your life...best thing that has helped me and tryn to put out word..good luck

Great for spiders surprisingly.
Oddly enough, I didn't catch any bedbugs, which is likely due to me not having any...However, these traps caught literally 30-40 freaky looking spiders. I couldn't be happier!

Captured all the bugs in the carpet.
This got all of the bugs we had in carpet captured on their way back up to the bed. It lasts a while & the stickiness continues to capture bugs, even as it fills up.

This takes patience, but it's worth it
These bug traps take patience to use, but it's well worth it if you're suspecting something. I didn't use a bed frame for my box spring and mattress, so I placed it right beside the bed. Within a week or two it caught what I thought was a mite (but it was a bed bug). A few weeks later, caught a more mature bed bug and had it confirmed.I suspect you will have better luck than I did if you do have a bed frame, instead of just placing it beside the bed, but it worked and was able to confirm the mess. This bug trap is just glue on cardboard which is folded upwards so the glue is on the bottom inside. However, it works as intended.I am sure if you're not as patient, you can probably do a DIY-bed bug trap/killer project with some yeast (acting as CO2) or dry ice, and sticky glue sprayed on a bowl.
