Does not make clean lines-looks awful!
We were so excited for this product. We had the driveway sealed (at considerable cost) and waited a month for it to cure. When the day arrived we swept all the dirt to make sure we would have a great finished product. The whole family worked together on this. Upon taking the template out of the Amazon box, we had some concerns and very carefully read the instructions. Our concerns were that the product seemed warped and twisted. Not sure how to deal with it, we stopped and reread the instructions and looked to the website for videos. We found inconsistencies in what came with the product and what was online, as well as the online instructions. We ran to the store and bought some tape and gathered items to sit on the template to flatten it. We pressed on and really took our time. It took about 3 hours to get to the point of spraying. We had 3 of us involved in the spraying to make sure it didn't get outside the lines. When we were done the first section we lifted the template and were devastated when we saw all of the "bleeding". We stopped and did not go further and reached out to Amazon who told us to reach out to Ronan. I left a voicemail over the weekend and it was answered on the next business day. They assured us we would get it fixed and requested I send photos and then more photos. I did not hear anything back after I sent all the photographic proof. I sent follow up emails and have not been contacted. It has been nearly four months. They have not offered any answers or solutions. Ronan does not back up their product and we are stuck with a real amateur looking half done basketball court. Stay away!

Good Do-It-Yourself Kit But Don't Expect Perfection
This is a really nice do-it-yourself stencil kit. It took about 90 minutes of prep time before I was able to spray the paint. I fiddled with it for probably 15-20 minutes extra trying to get it perfect and then gave up and was ok with it being slightly off. You could probably have this setup and be spraying in an hour if you don't try to fiddle with it to make it perfect. By it not being perfect I mean my free throw line distance is about 15 feet and 1 inch instead of 15 feet even. This also means the three point line is also off about 1 inch. I figured for what this is, one inch of error is acceptable. If you absolutely need it to be perfect this probably isn't for you and you should hire a professional striping company to do it for you. I feel I could have fiddled with it all day and still not had it perfect. On the plus side, it looks amazing. I was able to create clean crisp lines with no run out of the paint. The directions say to use 2 inch masking take to tap the stencil to the pavement but I couldn't get the masking tape, painter's tape, or duct tape to stick to the pavement. I happened to have a roll of the peel and stick foil tape that is used for sealing ducts and it did stick really nicely to the road. I ended up taping the stencil on both sides about every 18 inches and that held the stencil down very well for me to spray. When I was done, i cut the foil tape where the stencil met the road and left the tape that was on the cardboard there since it wasn't hurting anything. I then pulled the foil tape still on the road up with the help of my razor knife. One word of advice, the directions say to pull up the stencil after you spray the paint and then use the lane marking templates to spray those. The main key stencil has little cutouts which show where the lane markings go. If you pull up the stencil you won't know where to put them. I laid these out prior to spraying and marked the sides with tape that way when I pulled the stencil up I would know where they go. This method worked out nicely.Overall, I am pleased with the results but it's not a five star product simply because it's pretty much impossible to get it perfect. But it's a good product and it's an inexpensive method to get a better than decent stencil on your court.Edit:The paint didn't hold up as well as I would have hoped during the winter. Luckily the stencil kit can be used again and I will reapply. I'm guessing this will need to be done annually. It could be the paint supplied with the kit isn't great so I will go to a local paint shop and find out if I can get better quality.

Easy to do, lay, tape and spray!
We installed a hoop last summer and I decided to take advantage of the large asphalt area to put the lines in. I called some striping places for quotes and was told $800 plus tax. I decided to roll the dice with this and an afternoon of my own time. The kit is well made and instructions were clear. There was some bleed and overspray but only instead where my driveway had a dip. If I had to do this again I bet I could do it in half the time. It took about 7 man hours total. Well worth the money and I’m satisfied with how it came out.FYI, I used 4 cans of striping paint, no way two was gonna get good coverage. I sprayed two passes of each segment in the overspray box. Let dry, and then did another pass spraying each segment twice in the box again.

Works great the first time
Works great the first time. Second time it's a lil harder if you take out the cut outs to paint. If you don't you will have small lines between the lines. But...Overall a good product.

Looks great
Probably took 3 hours, I was being careful on a windy day. If you can pick your day, pick dead calm. Even using the spray booth box (included) I had a little overspray. Kids don't care but it bugs me every time I see it. Hopefully it wears off. Works as advertised, simple to do, just take your time to measure to make sure everything is square.

Paid for convenience-and got what I paid for
Used this stencil for a Peace Corps community project in Indonesia and the court we made turned out very well. Checked these as luggage all the way from the US down there and they were well held together after a few long, transpacific flights. The stencils were extremely easy to use and the set up of the free throw, key, and 3 point lines was very straightforward (everything is numbered and there are instructions included as well as to how everything is put together). We reused the free-throw line stencil multiple times for volleyball lines and to make the outer court boundaries as well.Due to the way the stencils are manufactured our lines intially were dashed as well, but we just moved the stencil up/down the line a bit and repainted the parts the stencil missed. The stencils are reusable and could be well-suited for a neighbourhood rather than a single home (everyone pitches in money, then shares the stencils). Otherwise, if you have the time needed to measure the lines, (basketball court specifications are available online for free) save your money and do that.
