You could keep the back brace on and detach the umbrella, that would get annoying really quick for you though. The umbrella is standard size so you would not be able to wear it inside the vehicle. I'd advise is not right product for what you are looking for

Has any parent used it while baby wearing? Were you able to wear baby carrier on top of it?

Now that you might be able to do. You would put the back brace on which is not comfortable very thick hard plastic. It was hard to attach the umbrella to brace by myself had to have her elp with that part

You wouldn’t really be able to. It clamps onto the handle.
