Excellent value and lots of choice
A great kit for the price compared to others out there. It arrived quickly and the recipe book gives much more choice of cheeses to make than other kits. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the instructions are a little sparse in places. E.g it says dissolve the critic acid in 50ml water then dissolve the rennet in 50ml water, but these need to be different 50mls not the same, and it doesn't say that. Likewise at one point it said heat curds to 40 degrees. But how long do you keep it at 40? Do you leave it on the warm hob or remove it from the heat etc. So it could be a little confusing for beginners who don't already have a feel for the cheese making process. However, the kit is informative, enjoyable, and has what feels like a fairly generous quantity of the dry ingredients compared to others out there, so I recommend.

Fantastic introduction to cheese making - excellent value for money
We got one kit for ourselves, and one for my mother-in-Law so we could have a long distance lockdown cheese-a-long and so far It’s been great fun! This kit is excellent value for money as an introduction to cheese making, we are trying styles of cheese we definitely wouldn’t have otherwise. The mozzarella was a great success (even if I do need to practice folding and shaping into balls - would recommend watching some videos as well as following the instructions - theres a knack!). We’ve definitely leveled up our homemade pizza! The kit comes with everything you need to Get started (except the milk/cream!), initially when I thought of trying to make cheese I was looking at separate books, rennet, citric acid etc and trying to choose cheese cloths - so many decisions! The box comes with everything in, in handy sachets with your first 20 recipes to try. Definitely much easier and excellent value if you’re not sure this is going to be a regular hobby yet.I’ve seen some comments that the box is small - but it doesn’t need to be any bigger! I was quite happy to give it as a present and it has been very well received. I wouldn’t hesitate to gift it again. After care / customer service has also been fabulous as I contacted the manufacturer via their Facebook page for advice - which was prompt and friendly.Very happy customer - my Rich Cheshire Cheese is currently pressing and am looking forward to trying it tomorrow, if the salted curds I just put in the mould are anything to go by it’s going to be delicious.

Fun family activity- we actually made cheese!
I got this product just for fun. I think it is helpful for my children to understand where their food comes from, and I wanted something constructive and interesting to amuse them over lockdown. I have never made a cheese before in my life, and I fully expected this to be a complete disaster, but I was both wrong and surprised. The kit has everything you need (except milk, and basic kitchen gear) to make cheese from scratch. There is a nice recipe book, and one about the basics of cheese and the history. With the help of a couple of YouTube videos, the boys and I, on our first attempt, actually made mozzarella and ricotta cheese. The boys enthusiastically demolished the mozzarella- it was very tasty. I am making stuffed pasta shells with the ricotta tonight. So, easier than expected. Got the boys off their devices and doing something constructive and interesting. We learned a lot, and had a load of fun. This is well packaged, and good value for money. I would definitely recommend it, and I plan on getting some for Christmas gifts next year for friends. It was a great family activity. My only criticism is that the thermometer was a bit small for me to read clearly. I used my digital one, which made everything really easy. I have attached some photos of our mozzarellas, and the ricotta draining. I would definitely recommend this- it is a great introduction to cheese, and we really enjoyed it.
