No more temperature regulation
The media could not be loaded. Thermostatic shower should be the modern standard for all shower trims because they actually control the water temperature and keep it consistent throughout the duration of your shower.In addition, it is very simple to use: the bottom knob sets the temperature, and the top knob control volume with integral diverter (controls where the water is coming from)—turn it left and water comes from the tub spout, turn it right and it diverts it to the shower head. It is very elegant and minimalist. The temperature always stays within one degree, as opposed to a pressure-balance valve which has a range of three degrees. A thermostatic shower valve also has temperature memory, so you can leave it at your preference and never fiddle with it again. Also, having the volume control separate from the temperature control is a huge luxury with only a marginally higher cost.And sure, a pressure-balance valve usually much cheaper than their thermostatic counterparts, however, if a contractor is only selling pressure-balance trims, seek a better one.My one caveat I have is that the pressure only changes in a very narrow margin at the beginning, maybe the first 1/10 of a turn, and reaches full pressure after that. It is still easy to control though.

Excellent quality, longevity and functionality
We use this valve (as well as the thermostatic version, similar to this) on the majority of our design/build projects because: 1. The quality is excellent (we've never had an issue with the valves, and we've ordered dozens and dozens of them) 2. The unit can be used to switch between one fixture or another, or (after removing a small washer inside) be used to have both on at once. The majority of competing brands require a separate diverter valve to do this, Hansgrohe's does this in one. Less money and a cleaner look. Highly recommended.

The parts in my picture were missing.
I didn't notice until after the return window had closed. Amazon didn't offer any way of contacting them about the problem. I bought this before I started the project and didn't notice what wasn't there until it was too late.I wouldn't give this one star., as the product looks good, but the I'm not sure how to get the missing parts.

Arrived with wrong part but company helped!
Update: Changing rating from 2 to 4*, the manufacturer has an easy to use website for posting warranty issues and they sent out a replacement part very quickly and with ZERO fuss. Replacement part is installed and shower is working great. I would like to give 5* for service, but will leave it at 4 as the surface of the brushed nickel option shows water spots very easily... Not sure why, all my faucets/metal around every sink and my other bathtub is brushed nickel and none of them show water spots like this finish does for some reason... a simple rag near by for after shower whip down gets ride of it tho.Original issue:Arrived with possibly two wrong or defective parts and one of them isn't install-able. Pressure valve handle set screw is internal to the unit and a hole taped to access it is in the wrong spot. So no way to secure the handle and keep it from falling off. The diverted control valve secures just fine but is a very different finish from the stubbed main plate (little hard to see just how different a finish in the photo but it is painfully obvious to the eye). I've contacted the manufacturer and will review my review to 4* if they can get me some replacement parts.

Excellent product
We purchased the Pressure Balance with Diverter along with other Hansgrohe shower products for our new bathroom construction. They are excellent quality and good construction. All parts work together seamlessly and are easy to install.They look amazing and function very well. They give a real high end feel to the bathroom. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Beautiful. Reputable brand.
Recently installed this in my new shower. Beautiful and functional. My only dislike is that you can't use the shower wand at the same time as the shower head. If I turn it left it's the wand. Right it's the overhead. Center is off. Love the sleek design though and expect the hansgrohe brand to last.
