The second this came out of the box, my cat hopped on top and slept on it, played on it, sat on it, and I think I may need to feed her on it! :-) She loves this! There's something about the curved design where she fits in the rounded lower middle and is just comfortable. The item is well made and heavier than I thought (not a cheap product). The siding is smooth and the materials used are the same inside and out, and on all sides, top and bottom. If one side gets worn out, you can easily flip it over and use the other side. The only thing I did notice is in other reviews, they have photos of cats sleeping underneath and inside .. my cat weights 16 pounds and can't fit to sleep inside. However, I put her toys inside and she has a lot of fun reaching in and around to bat the toys out. Despite her being a larger cat, she fits well on top and is really happy with this product. I was so pleased that I purchased one for a friend. Highly recommended for the cat household!

My cat enjoys playing and sleeping on the settee, but has yet to use it as a scratcher. I think this is because he is used to scratching on his sisal condos and simply doesn't get the point of the cardboard. I've tried everything to no avail. It was well packaged and arrived in pristine condition and in record time. My cat plays on it often and particularly enjoys the open bottom area. This settee is smaller than many other offerings, which. was a plus for me as it doesn't take up so much space. The price was also good. I only wish I could have got him to use it as a scratcher -- its intended purpose, which is the only reason I only gave it 4 stars. Maybe if he hadn't been trained to scratch using the sisal condos, he would have been open to using it as a scratcher. As we all know, cats can be PARTICULAR. If you are looking for this type of item, I would recommend this one especially if you have limited space.

it's beautiful but my cat prefers the softer cardboard catit lounger for some reason. still like this option in more public areas of the house. beautiful sturdy product. a bit smaller than i thought, but well made and designed.

I love the look of this scratcher as it sits prominently in my family room - an attempt to decoy my cats from upholstery. My four cats could not figure out what this was at first. They finally decided it was a time share settee! But no scratching. The openings in the figure 8 are smaller than they appear in the photo and my big New England cats ( 11-14#) can't fit through the holes. I had sort of envisioned them chasing each other through them as well as scratching it. Fast forward 6 weeks to the arrival of a 4 month old sick kitten I was to foster for our humane society until she could go to her adoptive home. Upon recovery, she proved to be quite bright and adventuresome and immediately began scratching the scratcher! The other cats followed suit. Being less than 5#, she was also able to fit in the holes and poke whoever was resting on top of the settee/scratcher. Much fun was had by all. She's moved on, but my cats remember what she taught them. So after a slow start, success and enjoyment all around.

It is well made, but too light. I bought this one instead of another pet fusion scratcher similar to this one because it was slightly cheaper, but I will go back to Pet Fusion next time. With this one, the scratcher moves all over the place when my cat tries to scratch on the curved areas. My cat does seem to like it, but I don't think he'll get as much use out of it because of lack of sturdiness.

Nice product but not worth what I paid. Had I seen it in a store for that price I wouldn't have bought it.

Woohoo! Winner winner, chicken dinner! Its big, its spacious, its the bomb. And its stylish to boot. At first my cats seemed to covet it, simply lounging on it and not inclined to scratch it, even with the medicinal catnip. ;) Took about a week of adoring it before my big guy started to take the first scratches at it. Now, its on!!! My little cat doesn't wanna crawl into the lower half, but who caaaaaaares?!?! I have three cats and I hide toys in there and that gets them to paw at it. I imagine this scratcher has many levels in that the under portion may be currently ignored but not for long. I recommend it for anyone with multiple cats or one spoiled fur baby! Its a goodie.

This Cat Scratcher is one of the best purchases I have made for my cats and for my furnishings. My two young cats were interested before I even got it unpacked. As soon as I placed it on the floor, they both began to play all over it as well as scratch on it. They are having so much fun and my rugs will no longer be the prime scratching material. The item is sleek and attractive so that I'm fine with having it in my living room. Our cats like to be with us and we enjoy the entertainment. They are 10 month old rescue cats that have been with us only 3 months.
